What an amazing sunset & how eerie was that seamist. Dolphins. Whales. Seals. A waterfall. I just fall in love more & more with Whitby. Your videos are fabulous. You're so so lucky to live so close to the sea. The surrounding areas/scenery is beyond beautiful. 😍

Cracking video - I spent last week in the town having my Whitby fix, had the best weather in a few years, got many decent photos, and above all else laughed when I saw the RNLI rescuing the Black Pearl which broke down in the harbour entrance and had to be towed back in. Photos of that were fun.

You've got a lot more happening off your coast, than I have off the Essex coast! 😄. That buoy with an aerial is probably a tide guage or wave height monitor.

That’s right mate. Cefas wavebuoy. You can get live data off it for wave heights and sea temp.

Been many time in the past - Whitby is local to me, so I know the wonders if the town, but……try parking anywhere, it’s full of tourists and holidaymakers, so impossible to just turn up and enjoy the place.

A Sea Fret, the mist is very localised in parts of the east coast. It can often be bright sunshine just 7 or 8 miles inland. When we were kids the fog horn would start up, an eery sound.

Something has definitely changed since mid July. The area was full of bait fish, Gannetts, diving birds, whales and dolphins. I’ve seen next to nothing in the past few weeks.
