Jesse jackson is just lip service, al sharpton is just lip svc(even though he's not on here), every person sitting at this table is not living the plight of the poor black person, but yet they have all the answers to resolve our plight. Why not each one(that makes it) reach one(that has not yet achieved economic stability)then PAY IT FORWARD!!! I get sick of all the answers involving any and everything BUT those that have made it, reaching out to help 1 that has not yet made it.

Some of what they are saying is indeed true, however faith without works is dead. They have the ability, especially farrakhan, to get in and put forth efforts to start to make a change but yet i don't see any checkbooks.. What was so great about the story of the messiah in the bible is that he gave his life for what he believed in and was the example.

Dr King marched with them yes and he did make moves, but I also think that sometimes causes conflict because even though the civil rights were protected and moved in, jobs and equality is still the issue its been 50 years, and its gotten worse. I am not blaming anyone, but I believe aside from asking others to help with OUR problems, I agree with those that were saying we need to do for ourselves because with 40 million blacks in U.S. with 1 trillion dollars in spending, we can create revenue

Jesse has moved from rhetoric to policy. But he compromised himself long ago.

Agreed, to crazycoolone I understand you and I agree that unfortunately that is how it works, but in all due respect, I will say that MLK while cared and even may have spoken or involved himself in other people struggles, he was concerned with Blacks to get justice. I agree we all as a human family have to work together, but on a small scale, if I don't have myself together and you do, I and the next man doesn't but the other does; their is conflict because of inner demons, so I agree with Kevin

he just made one of the craziest arguments for the healthcare bill I have ever heard. He basically said at the end of the video, if they don't pass the healthcare bill "today" then "we lose public education, public transportation and public post offices". What kinda sense do that make? Pass a bad bill so we don't lose stuff that has nothing to do with the bill you say pass?! Wake up folks!

I understand your reasoning but I am not understanding what you mean by PAY IT FORWARD...do you mean give them a job? If so that falls on EVERY influential black person artists, singers, actors, athletes because they all have that capability not just those at the table, and they get together because they have influence so its to make US aware and hopefully start a movement so that we can reach and help others, but first an issue needs to be addressed and planned on to better the plight
