I have a mk4 Golf platform car (Skoda Octavia). I've had it 80,000 miles and almost ten years, (it's at 203,000 and 22 years old) and it's been driven like I stole it the entire time. Two or three years ago I had it remapped and asked the guy for a "send it" map. It's been jumped twice, crashed into a kerb once, some Italians in a rental car another time, vapourised a deer at 70mph, and most recently last year wrote off a VW T5 on a roundabout. It's now four different colours and covered in dents and scratches, but it just won't die. Whenever something breaks or falls off I upgrade it, so it's now sitting (just low enough to scrape) on about five times its value in suspension upgrades and flexing the hotboi VRS front end with the projector headlights. It'll take more than some pilk to kill yours, even with the shitty slushbox.

I believe steam travels from a hole high up in the kettle to the base, but the trigger there is temperature sensitive (with an actuation point below boiling). You just need enough pressure from the boiling to get enough steam to flow there to actually get it hot enough. So pressure matters, but you still need hot enough steam (or other gasses).

You've gotta leave the kettle lid open! If you look up how kettles effectively work, as the air pressure in the kettles rises it shoots the hot vapor down a small channel in the handle, onto a bit of metal that buckles, disconnecting the mains to the circuit. This allows the kettle to bring any liquid to it's boiling point. So Leaving the lid open allows for the pressure to never build, allowing it to get hotter! :) Hope this helps for future Kettle-ing about. Additionally, kettles don't always allow you to reactivate so soon, because the metal thats buckled needs to cool down and return to its original placement. You can sometimes here it happen, depends on the kettle really.

I asked my cousin who's a mechanic about using pepsi as coolant- he said the acidity would have good cleaning qualities and also said there's a hack that putting mothballs in your fuel line makes your car more efficient but ultimately kills it
@render1802Ай бұрын
Don't tell the auto companies, they'll make "mothfluid" a new service feature. lol

Put a non-Newtonian fluid into the system. That might get things interesting!

(assuming coolant mixes with oil) just use pepsi as coolant and milk as oil and you have a pilk machine

If you're curious what it takes to destroy a cooling system, all you have to do is be a mustang. I've had to replace every single part of the cooling system, including the radiator and the cooling fan separately because both failed at different times. Even with brand new parts all around it's still drips and leaks and it seems like it somehow managed to get an air bubble despite doing a complete bleed and flush of the system

Frankly, I love Pilk You have to get the ratio right, three fifths pepsi, two fifths milk
@render1802Ай бұрын
The smell is going to be the WORST. Keep us updated! 🤣 Also, pretty sure the decomposing milk will make gas in the system.... oh and the casein proteins will separate thanks to the phosphates in the soda, which will probably turn to rock on something, somewhere....
@thromboidАй бұрын
I wondered about that too...if it's run up to temperature it should sterilise the pilk, so maybe it would be OK?
@JeffDvrxАй бұрын
what the other guy said, plus the temperatures and ph might cook the casein enough not to be affected (that much?) by the phosphates guess we'll see? lol
