Corruption is making these police officers look the other way. You can probably raise awareness through their families. Will they want gifts that were bought by a bribe from the worst scum in India? In that caste system you used to have (it's still alive in their minds and you can use that) there were those who committed grievous sins and therefore are outcastes. If your channel will gradually become money oriented with the aim of providing KZbin entertainment then you become scammers too in a different way. It's not satisfying to play soft ball with scammers. You got to partner with some extremist and find a way to kill them. You can never stop those Indian scambugs like this. They will just resurface and regroup and restart to operate worse than ever always staying above you. You may interrupt a few of their income every now and then but they will persist. They got to be hit so hard to truly deters them. I'll give you an example. In the Philippines Drug dealers had been hit by raids and all legal operation. They never reduced the drug problem until an extremist president adopted the proper measure and that is by killing at least 20% of them. That's the only way that the drug problem had reduced to minimum. You have to instill real fear against these Indian scambugs. You are just wasting time like this. If you have the means to identify them then please do something real. Kill them.

I am not from India (but am part South Asian Indian), but can tell you that most (>95%), if not all Indian folks that I have met are honest, sweet people. :) Your country is pretty awesome. It is always the 0.5%-5% of people that ruin stuff for everyone. India has a high population and higher poverty rates compared to western countries, so 1.3 billion folks is why it may seem like a lot of spam calls come from there, and scammers. Every country has issues, so not to worry bro. Am glad that Scammer Payback exists. Now, if only this channel can put some of the US billionaires, Saudi and Russian oil executives and Ponzi-schemers behind bars as well, because the governments around the world and the US gov't isn't being serious about issues in my country and the world itself.

I remember a case where a girl repeatedly reported to the police that her stalking ex bf was leaving threatening letters and they told her there was nothing they could do, she ended up unalived by him literally a few days after her last report. We should be sending international agencies like INTERPOL, to India to imprison scammers, because Indian government/police is in on the scams and they are only pretending to fight against these scammers, taking down only smaller groups while fully supporting and feeding off large scam groups and centers across India. Wasting time and money on something like creating ''Anti-SCAM Call Centers'' is just that - a waste of time and money. Doing that is like trying to remove all the water from a sink while the water is running, instead of going to the root of the problem and closing the water first. The root of the problem is in India and Indian government... Trying to deal with these scam organizations from U.S or Europe is pointless and useless. Unless international agencies like INTERPOL, IPP or SIS go to India and start doing something about it, sadly you will see no change in intensity and volume of scam attacks from India... If you make a severe punishment for a crime, 99% of potential criminals wont do that crime because the severe punishment outweighs whatever financial or emotional profit they get from doing that crime. If you start actually severely punishing criminals, the amount of crime will see a sudden drop of 50-90%. One thing I noticed with the call with the woman where she didn't know to believe you or not, I feel like it would have been really important to let her know that you wouldn't be asking her for any information or money or for her to download any sketchy software. She sounded like she really need to be assured, and while looking up KZbin would 100% confirm your identity, letting her know you weren't after any money and that you're there to help her would really have put her more in your corner before looking you up. (My own personal opinion after working in a call center! How representatives handle customers needing assistance varies but this is just how I would do it to let her know that I was there to actually help her.).

Here's a tip: if the victim has trouble knowing who to trust, point out to him/her that you are not the one asking for money. And that you literally want nothing from them. The one asking for money is the scammer.

Establish trust by not asking for money, instead just ask for a lot of personal info, plus their CC numbers with expiration dates and 3 digit codes and their bank account numbers and routing code. Old people use personal checks so ask them to just read the numbers off the bottom of their checks. This way they'll know you're honest.

You can contribute! Organise your friends, colleagues and family; get them all to contact their political representatives and insist that action is taken against the scammers. In very many cases, law enforcement in India has been shown to move very slowly against them. Apply political pressure to speed this up.
