We did it! Arriving On Costa Rican Mainland After 55 Days At Sea - Ep. 71 Thula Sailing

After our intensive, heart-warming stop on the STUNNING Isla del Coco - a jurassic island 350nm off the coast of the Central American mainland rising out of the depths of the Pacific - we finally reach the Central American mainland. Puntarenas!
What we saw was very different from what we had expected - was this really Costa Rica? Amazon-like rivers packed with rusting fishing vessels, rivers with no marked fairways. Fishers help us out finding our way into a place while we are curiously watched from shore.

Thanks! It's very sweet you think of us. Our family's live up in the very north of Germany which was not affected. What we have seen so far it's just been terrible destruction & our thoughts are with the people in the affected regions.

Schön zu hören, dass sie dir gefallen haben. Wir hatten insgesamt 250 L dabei. Der Motor verbraucht so 3 Liter die Stunde. Leider viel zu wenig also! ;) Viele Grüße aus Graciosa / Azoren

I don’t know your steering system, but what it does, looks like something I’ve seen before. The autopilot doesn’t know what’s happening. The feedback don’t give a signal. It will try turn to one side. The autopilot doesn’t get a feedback. And it just keeps turning. Hope that’s somehow give you some help. Otherwise your channel is in the top range of my favorites.
