This was one of the most memorable no-hit runs I have ever seen. I think in the whole history of no-hit runs (starting with Hob's legendary no-hit run of DS1) the only other run that comes even close in its achievement is Otzdarva's DS2 all bosses run. What a coincidence that Otz himself raided the stream right before the final bosses.
@sihTdaeRtnaCuoY Жыл бұрын
Didn't Hobs beat Sekiro, BloodBorne, Demon Souls, DS1, DS2, and DS3 without getting hit? Surely that is "close in its achievement"?
@heideknight7782 Жыл бұрын
@@sihTdaeRtnaCuoY The god run (2 or 3) is pretty hard, too, for sure. But there is a reason why even the all bosses vanilla game trilogy (not even including the DLC bosses) hasn't been completed by anyone yet. Hob once tried it and he got close (he had 2 games and failed with Nameless in DS3) and I think that McSwoozie is actually on it right now. The all bosses category is just much more difficult than to complete any of the games in the any% category (even in a row like in the god run). As far as I can see on Team Hitless there are over 100 players who have done DS2 any% hitless, but only 11 players did DS2 all bosses vanilla game, and only 7 who did DS2 all bosses +DLC (including Hob, Otz and Gino). Apart from different routing that is necessary, the DS2 or DS3 all bosses vanilla games provide also the hardest bosses in the two games (Darklurker and Namless King). Not to speak of the even harder bosses in the DLC's in those games. In Otz's DS2 all bosses hitless run there were absolutely insane boss fights, including the Graverobber, Varg and Cerah trio bossfight from the DLC, for example. I haven't seen anything like this in any of the god runs so far.

In the upgrade discussion around 3:32:30 I largely agree, but I think the biggest downside of the standard smithing upgrades is because the same material is used over and over (smithing [1] can be used for +1, +2, +3) it accidentally encourages people to half level up multiple things and run out of stones. If you have 5 smithing 1s, it's very tempting to +1 two different weapons. You can end up collecting far more stones than needed to complete a tier but have to grind and struggle to get there because they're so easy to mis-spend
