I really like the temporary look you guys came up with. It really evokes a sense of the shiny warbirds it will be rubbing wingtips with at OshKosh. @@FlightChops Its amazing to think that it has been two years plus already since you cracked open the crates to start building, but the last two years have a lot of time where so many of us just kept our heads down in general. Three things I remember from RV8A C-GRJE and when I got to fly in it: how it flew perfectly straight and level hands-off, how you needed to hold the stick with just thumb and finger, and the little voice in the headset saying “Stall!! Push, push!!” at the exact second the wheels touched. I can’t imagine how it feels to pilot a plane you built , especially one that amazing.😑 Congratulations on a job very well done to all involved. Watching the vinyl application struck me as analogous to how different our building paths have been in so many ways. You used vinyl lettering; I used vinyl to mask for lettering. So cool seeing you land at PTK; can't wait until you can stop and visit someday. Enjoyed watching your cross-country chops in play in the new aircraft. Wish I could train with both Mike Seager and Bruce Bohannon, but that would bust the budget. The stinger with Blake made me laugh; we've all sung the refuse-to-autofocus blues! With the fuselage now at the hangar, I'm going through that awkward transitional phase. The hangar isn't quite ready yet; improved lighting is on order. Trying to decide which tools should stay where; what needs to be duplicated, etc. Painting the cowling and other fiberglass bits now; moving supplies to hangar while paint dries. When winter comes, I'll be missing the shop for sure... but by then the airplane should be flying. We'll see...
