Yes, it was quite pricey! The price has gone up significantly this year due to inflation (also prices for everything else). The reason for the fee is because Patara beach is on the archeological site, so the fee gives you access to the site and the beach. If you have a museum pass, entrance to both is free. Also, if you don't come with your own car the fee is much lower.

The lady is very similar to Turkish women, for sure, while walking around the city, many shopkeepers tried to speak Turkish.
