No matter which one wins, I will always love the Blaster. I’ve had the same one for over 20 years and to me that 2 stroke ringing sound is my childhood. I’ve flipped it, done wheelies, crashed into things and it still is super reliable and fun! Only problem I ever had was when following some bigger 4x4 Hondas through deep water and sucking some in the intake. A quick spark plug change and I was good to go again. Can’t wait for the finale!

I really think the Trailblazer seemed lethargic compared to a stock one with low hours on it. Did you guys do a compression check or check the clutch/belt? Like the series! I think taking these same quads and rebuilding and modifying them, then running the tests again would be super interesting!
@MichaelSabo Жыл бұрын
I wish I had experience on another Blazer for comparison so it's hard to say. @petehager was in charge of preparing it and he did check the belt. We clocked it at 53mph topped out which is in the ball park of where it should be stock. Acceleration, it's hard to tell if it was normal.

Polaris rider here, I have a 1995 Polaris 300 2x4, i find you get the best launches with zero throttle, Spun my tires from a slow roll by letting off the throttle at a stop sign, rolling up and then just slapping that throttle wide open Granted I do have a little bigger of a motor and I am a lighter guy, but I'm running fairly heavy tires and my quad is running a little rich so it isn't quite running as well as it could, still spun the tires from a slow roll

I’m pretty impressed with how things are turning out so far. I think the Trail Blazer might have gotten a better spot if there was more of a run to the first hill. It will basically hold whatever speed it is at when it starts going up things. So a lack of run hurts it. I did figure the blaster would be a monster on the hill climbs because it’s light and has plenty of power. As for the 300EX, there is NO WAY that thing has a stock motor. It’s running like my old buddy’s 300 that had a 330 big bore kit with a stage 2 cam. Also, the front suspension on the 300ex is just not good for anybody above 160lbs anyway, so if the suspension is also blown out then I can imagine that thing is pretty scary to ride.
@MichaelSabo Жыл бұрын
I'm hearing from a lot of people the same thing about the 300EX, that even fresh, the suspension is pretty bad. Glad to hear your feedback on the engine work - it definitely seems suspicious!

I have a suggestion for the next series the format needs to be changed, each rider should get 5 to 10 laps or runs in each race back to back to get there best times take the best three laps then compare numbers for a winner that gives the quads a much better chance to show where they shine, yes head to head is fun but I heard you guys say several times it's about the quads, the drag race the last one should have been the heaviest rider on the fastest quad and the lightest rider on second fastest quad to give it a little handicap.
