1950 and beyond military Jeeps had a 100 amp alternator system as an optional charging system. If you wanted to jump start tanks, you would use that to give the the tank a quick battery charge, and then a boost for starting.

Hello Hank, if you ever plan for a trip to Germany, how about a little detour to the Tank Museum in Munster? This facility is close to the Bergen - Hohne military exercise grounds in the North - West of Germany, and they have lots of WW II iron to crank, e.g. what about a Sturmgeschuetz (StuG) III, or a Skoda 38 (t)? Cheers, and keep on! Oh, I forget: riding a tank is also offered over here by some bloke somewhere east of Berlin; he's got tanks without turrets, and you must of course pay for the fuel, which is about 300 - 500 €, if I'm not mistaken.

@HamiltonvilleFarm3 жыл бұрын
Or enjoy the whole journey to get there. Nicky, we make the videos for you to get to know us, hang out with us, etc. can I make a 2 minute video of the tank getting plugged in and then cranking? Of course. But then the viewer wouldnt know the story, wouldn’t get to know us as people, etc. so if you want to fast forward to the starting of the tank, have at it. But you’re missing out on all the good stuff. Some people like to go in eat the cake and leave. Some people like to sit down have a conversation, a cup of coffee, and enjoy the time until the cake arrives at their table. I appreciate the fact you stopped by the channel even it was for just a little bit.
