I'm a subscriber of several travel channels, but let me tell you that yours is the best one ever! You guys create the most cinematic videos I've seen, and I'm not talking about the quality of the gear you use, I'm talking about the creativity, composition, story telling, everything that cannot be found in any gear is what makes your productions so enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your trips with the world. All the best for you, guys!

You are so lucky to live in beautiful Norway. I live in Wyoming which is also beautiful, but we are inland and have no fjords. Norway is in my bucket list. I have a 1978 VW Camper Bus. But my wife won’t camp in it. In the 1970s we had a VW camper bus and she camped in it, but now she wants a bathroom and shower and heater and AC. So we also have a truck camper that even has a queen sized bed. Enjoy the memories you are making in your VW camper. I love the way you have outfitted your camper. When you are 69 like me, you will look back with fond memories of these travels.😎👍

Yes I’ve started to realize that😇 Too bad she won’t join you in the bus, although I understand how time changes the preferred way of standards etc… We try to cherish these moments and I’m happy to know that these videos serve as vivid memories even for us😊

Many of these KZbin channels feel a certain pressure to deliver on a regular basis. This commonly results in a lack of good quality content. It is amazing how you each and every time create a video that is breathtaking to watch. You can see that you put a lot of time in it, and nail it each and every time. After watching one of your videos, you want to get into your car and go explorer! This is what it is all about! Keep this very original, yet simple and honest way of creating content, it is super! Enjoyed it!

Really appreciate the kind words! You’re right, there is a lot of effort put into these videos and that affects the frequency of uploading new videos. At this point, I think the Lofoten tourism board should just hire you to do all their marketing - great job as always! Question for you: are the ferries free, or what do they cost? Some inland ferries in British Columbia are free, but the major ferries are costly. Again, thanks for bringing us along for the journey to the North. Any plans for winter?
@SimonBraeck3 жыл бұрын
That would be decent👌🏼 I guess they get so much free advertising anyway. The ferries are costly, especially the one crossing over to Lofoten from the mainland. More than 100 USD… The shorter once are more like 15-20. For winter we might try to get our hands on some more capable camper vans because our van doesn’t like the road salt and steep icy hills. And we might go to some exotic place, far far away🙃

The editing, the music, the colors - this is art, man. I always enjoy watching your adventures. I've been to Norway couple of years ago and experienced rainy Geirangerfjord. Some day I gonna visit your beautiful country again. So thank you for being such an inspiration 🙂 Btw, how was Truck Norris doing all the way? The new engine did its job?
@SimonBraeck3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words, really appreciate that😃👏🏼 Traveling in Norway gets addictive, we might do another similar trip next year (3 years in a row…)! You should definitely come back! The new engine feels reliable, no more worrying of how it performs. The diesel pump might need to be replaced, we used the old JX pump which seems to deliver too little diesel when the going gets tough… Really happy with it though

Hi Simon, I really love your channel, it has massively excited my love for Norway. So much so, I am wanting to drive from the UK, I have a 1979 VW T2 and 3 of us would be travelling. What’s the average price of fuel? Is there many fuel stations around and which ferry service do you use to book for the island hopping? Sorry for the questions
@SimonBraeck3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for watching my videos😊 You’ll have a great time if you decide to come over. I would say it’s about 15-16 NOK pr litre. Fuel stations are everywhere, Circle K, Shell, Yx, Esso are the most common stations. There are a few ferry companies, if you navigate using Google Maps they will let you know if you need to use a ferry and what the start/stop point is. Just google these to names and the correct time table/company will appear. Generally you’ll be charged quick, easy and automagically if you have a AutoPass chip in the vehicle. Fjord1, Torghatten are to examples of ferry companies

You could use the Hurtigruta service, although it is not very quick, nor very cheap. More like a cruise along the coast of Norway, with the possibility to bring your car. It will make for some very pretty views though, and a good to way to see a lot of Norway
