We drove a brand new car from Oslo to Gothenburg (Should you do it?)

We traveled from NY to Oslo for a 3 day weekend trip. To make it even more crazy, we decided to spend one of those days driving 3+ hours from Oslo Norway To Sweden just to experience the Norwegian countryside in a Rental car. Was it worth it? Watch and decide.

I love the Nordic countryside with their forests and lakes. It's definitely worth it exploring it by car! Good thing it didn't take you 2 billion hours! 😅

I've just visited Goteborg after a 30+ year hiatus. I spent many summers there as a teenager but my last visit there was 1990. I fell in love with the country again. Next year I'd like to do a tri-city road trip of Copenhagen - Goteborg - Oslo. Each leg seems to be around 3.5 to 4 hours. I've promised my relatives that I won't leave it another 30 years until I revisit Goteborg. By the way, I love classic vw beetles too. And the correct way to say Gothenburg is 'Yo-te-borry'. 😊

Thank you for sharing your story. We love your tri-city plan. It is such a beautiful drive and not bad when it comes to the distant (3-4 hours are quite manageable) Also thanks for your tip on how to properly pronounce the name of the city. We appreciate it

We just did Norway in 9 days. Had you driven west from Oslo.. you could have had better scenery.

Thanks for the tip FF! Noted for our next trip to Oslo. Our trip from NY to Norway and Sweden and back was only 72 hrs so we decided for 2 countries in one weekend. Both West and East Norway looks amazing.
