@Thomas Ahearne There's been roughly one BILLION wild animal deaths caused by the fire, and an estimated 30-40 people have passed away. Yes it's an unfortunate situation for everyone, people have access to technology like cars, first aid and running water, the wild animals don't and therefore need our help. There's no reason to compare our situation with that of the native animals, especially since they're actually the ones worse off.
@sophie7204 жыл бұрын
@Thomas Ahearne ONE FREAKING BILLION Animals died because of a huge fire that is caused by humans. The animals do not have any chance of rescuing themself while humans have at least have the opportunity to save them self. Of course it's an awful situation for the people as well but the animals can't do ANYTHING and they caused it the least.

Erika CH the fire in Sweden 2018 was way worse than the one in 2014, but maybe you don’t recall since 2014 was the first time something like that happened in Sweden in modern time. The fire in 2018 was almost double the size of the one in 2014, being over 25.000 hectares. Still no where near what what Australia is going through right now, however I can remember how scary it was cause the fire were 20 min from my house.

@@MelinaJamiee I recall, but i didnt live close to any of them. you remember the one 2018 becaus it was near you. I didnt live right next to a fire 2018, but yeah i know it was scary to. But the one 2014 i helped friends and was way near it. so thats why i can relate more to that one.

to be fair sweden is such a tiny country compared to australia, you can’t even compare ours! what happend here in sweden 2018 was all over sweden and so many lost their houses and yards etc! it was so close to our home i could smell the smoke, i feel as bad for aus as I do for those who lost their houses 2018 in swe❤️ and now i’m worried about 236 explosions weve had in sweden only in 2019! can this world get some peace and quiet💙

I would be developing PTSD from what you guys have been through, I see you are heart broken for your little town, but you also have positivity still and admire that. This won't last forever, l'm sure after the past few weeks you could never go back to a completely normal life, because you have seen and experienced things you never thought you would and things you will never forget, but soon enough your little town will be back working their jobs again, checking their mail everyday and doing all those normal life things, there are changes, the beautiful forest area and all those lovely homes ect will remain vacant and covered in ash and blackness for a little while longer as a constant reminder but slowly things will move forward, you will move forward with more appreciation for your neighbours and your community, your home and the simple things in your beautiful community.

@@ToriFalzon ... you can thank the greens party for banning back burning for the last five years and the government for water harvesting and privatising water to china and other off shore companys, and the use of geoengineering technologys to divert weather systems which is a breach of section 100 of our 1901 Commonwealth Constitution...

Despite the news not covering the fires, we here in America did learn about them through other various means. We heard conflicting reports that they were caused by arson and other means. But the news did get out. My heart goes out to you all there.
