Fooster, two words. BONE CLUB. Harvest your big animal kills, any rock modified or not can do it, dig through their meat, harvest again if you have to, and you'll find a bone club. The evolution aspect is so fascinating in this game but the added attention to detail of the environment changing over a million years is sticking to that *science*! The forests retreated and more savannahs opened up, forcing the Ancestors to walk upright in order to cover longer open distances between trees. It's great seeing the beginning of this change to the environment by the end of this video :)

I rather think it was just limitations to the team and the tech. The game would have to internally store several different versions of the map within. There really isn't a dynamic system that could feasibly mimic a changing landscape like that. Especially 5 or 6 years ago. That's why I really hope they pick this back up and take us to the stone age. Would be so cool. Maybe Bronze.

Your first was the elder that was killed by the eagle, that always shows up as a death as kind of a tutorial to show what happens during an evolution and a death. The second was the rock python where the adult bled to death. When you do a generation jump and elders die they aren't considered deaths. Remember to get a MASSIVE boost in brain juice make sure to examine the piles of bones for the first time with babies on your back. You can use that brain juice to reconnect all your nodes after a jump.

To maximize the mutations in One family of generations, when finding a meteorite it has to be found with all the clan children present. The giant centipede was given the name Arthopleura by paleontologists. It did indeed grow so large because of a much higher oxygen saturation in the atmosphere at the time it lived, 345 to 290 million years ago, so certainly not when mammals even existed, but it's cool in the game.
@commanderhurst3283
@commanderhurst3283 Жыл бұрын
Arthropleura was actually a Millipede, not a Centipede. We now know this thanks to the discovery of their stomach contents. Also one scary thing about the centipede in this game is that they existed in areas like Africa and Asia plus South America. They just were a bit smaller, probably around three or so feet which is honestly still fucking terrifying... Currently there are two foot long bat eating centipedes in Venezuelan caves.

I have now binged the entire series so far, and I absolutely love it. I've tried this game before, and its just a bit too finicky and grindy for my taste, but man every time I watch anyone play this game, I desperately want to get right back into it again and start up a series of it myself! Such a painful paradox to be sure!

Hey Fooster, loving watching you play through what is one of my favourite games ever. The baby that got stuck may be avoidable once you evolve the ability to control your hominid's state of mind; you will be able to have everyone follow you, then use your state of mind to enter alert mode - which makes everyone following you huddle up closer together. A Fulfillment is whenever you complete each challenge within a category on the Evolution Leap screen

Fooster, certain animals are resistant to different weapons. A good example is using a chopping stone for the centipedes rather than a stick. Also, sharpening the stick will help it with breaking on attacks. I wish there was more advice I could give but it's been so long since I played haha. Just do everything, with everything. Fulfilments, if I remember right, are completing a whole category of evolution feats. You can view them in the evolution window.

The one who died was the one who got attacked by the python in the last episode u saved it from death in the moment but it still got an injury and u didn’t heal it after getting to the new settlement I think

Glad to see the game still being played by content creators and getting some love, it's a great game though I think it could've been better in some areas, currently going through and trying to get all meteorites(they let you double the mutations you can lock in per generation), definitely isn't a first playthrough thing, but free tip: the cave oasis' are the safest spots for your clan if your in the forest area, leaving the clan in Buried Garden Oasis I was able to discover most of the savannah alone

Okay I wont lie, you have actually spurred me to finally get this game, and try it on myself, so for that you have earned all my likes and subscription, of course all likes go to all of your Odyssey videos for the time being. I have also learned something entirely out of the blue that I have neither heard of, nor seen. If your ape is holding an item, you can actually 'Hold Right Bumper to prep an item for throwing' and release it to THROW an item, so tapping the button drops it, and holding it readies the item to be thrown.

Insect size is influenced greatly by their respiration - they breathe through their exoskeletons. When insects were larger, it was more because of the oxygen content of the atmosphere than because of the temperature.

Fulfillments are completion of feats in groups like using all the tools, or finding every location, or collecting every meteor, or precious gem. You get feat points for finding and doing things. You get fulfillment points by doing them all. You should be able to see them in the evolution tab. They may be greyed out but gives you an idea of what types of things you need to do.

Those giant centipedes man... Imagine this: when did man first arrive? The year gets pushed further back all the time. 2023 recorded years + fragmented history, who knows for sure yeah? So truly imagine what beasts and creatures our ancestors coexisted among. Giant bugs, giant mammals with defenses greater than our own, reptiles whose evolution clearly surpassed many as even extinction events were not enough to end them... It's insane. And yet this game does a fantastic job of illustrating that exact point, it's amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your playthrough with us brother, it's been an awesome ride so far. And I'm looking forward to seeing the apes future!
