What I find really strange is the rooms where the ceiling had come away from the lathe, there is no dust or rubble underneath it ? That stuff is dusty and leaves one hell of a mess when it comes down even if it has been removed carefully by hand if it has started to de-laminate from the lathe !!

Did anyone else notice all of the bibles and crosses around the place? Make me think this place was run by or at least affiliated with the church. I'm guessing it was some sort of refuge for young people with nowhere else to go (kicked out of home, homeless, drug problems or what have you). Possibly even temporary accomodation for young offenders who've finished their term. It seems possible that the police tape was needed long after the property was abandoned. I think one way of finding out would be to contact a local newspaper - they'll have invariably have covered the story.

Most often these places are tragedies where people have died. Especially if everything is left standing. Not that it's bad to see. It would be interesting to reverse look up the owners of the address and the latest dates of items (afterwards) to look at the news and see if something matched up happening to the place to add more to the story of it all.

I am always expecting to see a rat dart thru the debris when you visit a house in this state. You were striking a blow for our environment when you switched off the heater, it usually takes energy to generate electricity.

Nice explore lads. Did you notice door from room#3 lying on its side? Also I guess the plaster on ceilings was already taken off yrs before. No sign of plaster, dust ect. But some wallpaper fell off wall through mold and damp. Also carpet taken up from stairs. Possibly by crime scene cleaners? No other sign of foul play as I could tell? And the power still being on? Who's been paying the bill since before 2012(majonaise jar!) if you find anything out I'd love to know. Keep up the good work. 👌🤔🤪😋😃

This looks like perhaps like someone that turned a house into illegal small appts (or do you call them flats in UK, I'm unsure of the term for this) that someone would rent for quite a lot of money to some people that aren't exactly knowing what to look for, like illegal people or that kind, I could only imagine Police came to close it down.

Sinister vibes from the off with this one Beardy.....what was even creepier was that just after the intro snippet's an add came on with Jimmy Saville saying that he didn't like girls that knew too much, an add for a crime doc......Some F.cked up shit went on at this location no doubt.....You could quite easily deduce that this was a hoarders house however everything seemed so too neatly placed that to me it looked like more a forensic team had gone through it all meticulously. it didn't looked trashed which may relate to the Police tape.....Hmmmm.... really gets you thinking this one

Somebody is paying the Electricity Bill, or at least its still automatically coming off a direct debit somewhere. Otherwise they would have obtained a court order and been in to pull the service fuse to cut the supply if it had been unpaid since 2011. Makes me wonder if it isn't a hostel or shelter owned by either a Council or Charity, often under this kind of ownership utility bills for multiple properties just get paid by default by a head office somewhere, with no knowledge whether the building is occupied.

that my friend is a halfway house for girls who had kids under 18s, this is where they would go until they could get a flat at 18, the laws changed now they can have their own property from 17 now i believe, long time since ive been in social work, this was a halfway house for young mother.s you can tell by the sign on the back of the door, that it was a business of some sort hense the fire exit door, and the leaflets of theings to do in the area, girls at a halfway house wouldnt be from the area, to stop them going runnign away back to their friends and family, especially if they where at risk of abuse. id say the police tape came later.
