If you can catch a few bream try using them on your limb lines .. They’re deadly for big Flatheads and big Channel cats. I used to fish that same part of the Altamaha river and live bream was the Key.

Im in central Texas and my brother works in the oil field. he got turned on to that Conecuh Sausage a while back and now it is one of the only ones we use. I have to order it because it isn't available in stores around here and it's very good. Edit: That fish dish looked very good. With the remaining fish you should do a coubion/courtbouillon, one of my favorite things on the planet to eat.

Great video. We do alot of limb lines in North Carolina. There is some great meat on the belly that I didnt see you get. Most people don't know to get that off. Its some of the best on the fish, especially on big flathead. Also I soak my filets in buttermilk.

Cool fishing trip and terrific fish and grits recipe. That creamed vegetable cheese topping looked wonderful. In the way back we used to fish for jewfisn in the mangrove channels near Goodland with branch set lines. The 5-10 pounders were delicious. The big ones would pull the limb off the mangrove.
