Glad to see you slaying the sheepshead man. I’ve always thought they were delicious, rivaling the taste of speckled trout and redfish. It’s crazy how they don’t get the same attention. Here in Louisiana there’s no size or bag limit on them. I’m not sure why the restaurant industry doesn’t pay attention to them, especially here. God bless and tight lines!

Sheephead is one of least known best tasting fish. Most do not want to fool due the hard cleaning. You have shown the quickest easiest way cleaning. Due to great mild taste I have used them in gumbo. Keep up the great work. Tell Mom I sent her a hug by you.

As far as fish tacos, my favorite is mutton snapper or whiting with a mango salsa, lime crema, and some Cotija cheese. So much flavor! Can't wait to catch some whiting just to make those. Chef Paul's Blackened Redfish seasoning is pretty low salt too. That's my selection for fish tacos. But the Magic is great too. I like how you highlight there's no wrong answers. If you like it, cook it! Humans are wonderful!

Recipe looks awesome, I think I 'd like it w/ out the sauce. Love beans, never added jalapenos tho..will try. Loved your Alabama joke about the sheepshead w/ fish missing. Hey, great video. I really enjoy the catch and cooks. I still have a bunch of Halibut from Alaska last year. You have given me some good ideas. We were down in Gulf Shores just before Christmas when the cold spell hit. We did charter a boat and caught a bunch of Mangrove snapper. Took them to Tacky Jack's but the said they won't cook your catch anymore. We had to leave the next morning so we pan fried the fish for breakfast. I would have to say those snappers were some of the best fish I've had. Wish we could have caught some Sheep's Head. Thanks for your service from an old Combat Engineer. Keep up the great videos. Oh yeah.. would love to see a tour of your rod and reel collection.

There is just something about your videos that somehow makes such a simple day of fishing so entertaining and enjoyable. I actually just made some striped bass fish tacos with old bay, homemade pico, avocado, and some homemade lime/hotsauce mayo and it was absolutely delicious. I love all of the Chef Paul's seasonings, especially the Blackened Redfish Magic! Finally found out you can buy it online in larger 24 ounce cans for about $15 which is a lot cheaper per ounce than the smaller 2 ounce glass containers I used to pay about $3.50 for at the local store.

My favorite things to put on a taco? Definitely some kind of avocado or guacamole (I prefer 'fire-guac' 🔥🔥🔥, with habaneros and quac seasoning packet, blended smooth in a blender) or the La Victoria brand 'Hot' Salsa Brava for hot sauce (it also comes in 'Medium'). A beef taco must have guacamole, cheese, and hot sauce, for me. What would I put on a fish taco? I don't eat fish tacos often, but my guess is something like fire-guac and maybe a chunky tomato-onion salsa.
