"We finally did it!" Building Our Dream Rose Arbor

Hello There!
I hope you're enjoying your day. We finally did it! We built a rose arbor for our Cottage Garden. It was so fun to put it together, and we absolutely love it.
We also built a few gates for our fence, and I painted them a soft green color.

That arch turned out beautifully and probably more affordable than buying a premade one. Now what it needs our solar twinkle lights!!!

What a fun video building something together. My husband and I are in the thick of installing hardwood floors in our house. So I really feel the camaraderie of building a life together. It will look so lovely when it fills in and I love all the found material you guys utilize. Thank you for posting even when conditions are literally pouring.

I think the natural fence where you painted the new gate is begging for some climbing flowers/vines…instead of hanging baskets. When it fills in it will create the feeling of a “secret” garden or room beyond that gate. I am a new viewer so perhaps that has already been mentioned or was in the plan. If so, I support that idea!😊 Your sweet, calm voice and happy demeanor make the video so peaceful and a pleasure to watch. I’ll be back!

Love it 🥰 I always love your videos,your garden n home is literally my dream.My grandmother used to have a home nettled away from the outside world with a big cottage Garden,and it was such a place to recharge my soul. The rose trellis is so beautiful!! I've also been wanting some sort of trellis for awhile now and this gives me inspiration. Little Georgie's tummy showing when you pick her up is so cute 🤍 Oh and the gate! Love the green.

Hi Anna- oh your garden looks so beautiful- you guys did a great job! ( I need a Burt!😉) You should be so proud of all your hard work- it is definitely magazine worthy. I can not believe all the different things that are still blooming in your area. I saw your Hollyhocks-mine are about 18 inches tall. Still not sure if they are to bloom this year or next. The roses will look lovely. I just bought my first climbing pink rose a few months ago for my fence. Keeping my fingers crossed. Have a safe and relaxed holiday weekend.😊

You could put a shoe-rack in your garden, fill it with old shoes and then plant herbs inside of them. Then when you have guests for dinner you can have a conversation like ; "What's that flavour in this ?" "Well it's mostly basil." "But it's a bit cheesy isn't it ?" "Hmmmm ..." And then afterwards show 'm around the garden.

Unless they are some type of hybrids, Jackmanii clematites are deep purple like the one on your fence. It’s odd that they showed some other color on the picture!
