She's a pre-war billionaire and renowned scientist on first name basis with half of Hollywood, she could easily purchase a spot in a cryo-vault and pull the strings to make sure it's a _good_ one. Also, she aged quite a bit since _Hollywood forever,_ which synths don't do. Also let's not to forget that Gen 3 Synths have only been around since the 2230s and the Institute kept a very tight leash on them, going to great lenghts to retrieve any who went AWOL.

@@dballerxx Sure, it is important to recap the story to set the context, I didn't say that it shouldn't be there. However, mine and other people's critique is coming from the fact that the story could be summarized a little better instead of being the majority of the video. Take the Game Theory or Movie Theory channels as an example, they integrate the story with the theory well without it feeling like you are just watching a movie recap. If you do want to recap the whole story in your video you should keep in mind that most people have seen the show and need you to give something in addition to the recitation of what happened word-for-word. Roanoke Gaming makes theory videos on movies and games, and he also retells the full story to set the context and prepare the stage for the theory. But in those videos you can see that retelling of the story is not the main focus. The recap takes less than a half of the video and he adds his thoughts, jokes and ideas preparing the viewer for the theory during the recap. So the main focus goes to the theory. Just to summarize this little essay of mine, you can do whatever you want in your videos, creativity is always encouraged and it is nice when people create on topics they enjoy. However, if you do make something, keep in mind that people have a certain level of expectations set by numerous other creators. And when the title of the video doesn't align with its contents well and most of it is just the copy of the source without much added by the author, people feel mislead and upset. Keep making content and don't take this as an attack on you, but a critique that could help you improve at what you are doing.

Commonwealth doesn't necessarily have to refer to Boston. Before WWIII, the US was broken up into 13 Commonwealths (administrative divisions) that were more important than states.

Elder Quintus states that the Enclave defector fled “The Commonwealth” and that their orders also came from “The Commonwealth”. Yes, it isn’t directly stated to be Boston, but it is known to the general audience that when referring to “The Commonwealth”, it typically is going to mean Boston. Especially since that’s where Quintus said the orders came from, and we know that Maxson’s BoS is in the Boston Commonwealth. We also see The Prydwen, which has been confirmed to actually be The Prydwen from Fallout 4. It all adds up to point towards Boston over any other location.

one big problem with your Synth Theory is that Synth's don't age and another is that a gunshot to the lower abdomen would not be lethal. Cloning would be a more likely possibility since Moldaver ages. look at the flashback sequence with her and Rose at Shady Sands, and then look at her when she is first introduced. Something to keep in mind about the synths is that they are stronger and more resilient than humans. I think that Moldaver having contact with the Enclave could be from having remnant equipment from the Enclave's destroyed facility (the Oil Rig from Fallout 2), The NCR would have scavenged as much tech from that place as they could after its destruction and with the rest of the enclave never knowing that it was destroyed. It would make more sense that Moldaver was either frozen in cryo or is a clone not a synth.

@@mfmageiwatch it's not necessarily a plot hole. companies are big, and even if you work in the same city as someone else that is in the same company as you, it's not a guarantee that you will know every single person at the company in the area. vault-tec was absolutely massive and had locations everywhere. it's perfectly reasonable for hank and moldaver to have never met if they were in completely different departments of the company.

After watching season one, one big plot hole that gets me is how Moldaver passes herself off as the Overseer of Vault 33. From Hank's response, it's clear that he has been communicating with Vault 32, thus hearing about "Overseer Jackson's passing." So, there are two problems there ... The first problem is that Hank would have contacted Bud in Vault 31 and confirmed what happened to Jackson, as Hank likely knows about 32's assigned experiment into "behavioral sink." Being that we learn later, Bud NEVER sleeps ... he just waits and coordinates via email. The second problem would have been that one of "Bud's Buds" would have been activated and put in charge of Vault 32 ... so, NOT Moldaver, who Hank would have known was NOT one of Bud's Buds from the very start being that he was Barb Howard's personal assistant at Tault-Tec Corp and would have know who all the Bud's Buds were for the project.

The one thing that doesn't add up for me is that Vault 31 def got rid of Vault 32, and I would assume Vault 33 would have had contact with Vault 31 to know what had happened in 32. At the very least they know of overseer Jackson's passing (which was right before Betty on the monitor). And we know Jackson got killed by the people that rebelled. So assuming Hank/Betty knows what happened with Vault 32, why go through the wedding ceremony when they would know Vault 32 is empty? Assuming they didn't know, it would make sense for them to use this as a way to figure out what's going on, but it would've been much easier to figure that out through Vault 31. Unless of course, there's some hidden puzzle piece that would help for it to make sense (like maybe Hank was planning something with Moldaver and planned the whole thing?).

She is not a president but just a tiny faction. NCR seems like fragmented. She hired some raiders as canon fodder to take vault 33 and left them to their own device. She retreated with her real precious loyal minions.

Maldover is by far my favorite character in the series so far being that she has so much backstory and perspectives. She’s a whistleblower, renowned scientist, cult leader, lead a sector of the NCR, convinced Raiders to work for her, and she’s a freedom fighter. Yet we have no legitimate proof as to how she’s made it this far into the post-war. Which leads me to believe there’s more about her story than we’ve seen. To me she almost feels like a player character at the endgame. She’s feared yet respected, and all her work has benefit the Wasteland. Definitely justifies the female presence in Fallout, if a pre-war woman can connive her way to the top of the food chain in the wasteland, then I don’t ever want to hear a reason why “Nora” is a useless character in FO4, because Maldover is definitely proof that women are just as deadly in the wasteland without a military background.

They're a form of Dream Loungers. The robot in the vault said himself that was the overseer training vault. Dream Loungers and other things exist. If they can make life extending serums and such. It's not such a far cry. However if we want the easy out "SYNTHSSSSS!" ughhhh

I really do not think Moldaver is a synth like you seemingly implied. But she for sure had to have been Cryo chamber at one point or another. That makes more sense than it does her being a synth. If she is a synth then that means The Institute is involved and that opens up a whole different can of worms... It is something that also would not make a lot of sense though either for them to want to re-create that person specifically. Throughout this video I kind of got the impression that you think The Institute and the Enclave are the same faction but they are not. I also want to remind you that the tech for making synths is something specifically made by The Institute and did not exist before the bombs fell.

I was generally speaking here, since all of the lead scientists at the institute all have conflicting goals and theories as to why gen 3 synth production is best for the commonwealth. Ultimately, they wanted to create “a better human”. And were replacing people with synths to make the wasteland a better place. More efficient in many different ways, as described by many characters from the institute in fallout 4.

I find it unlikely The Institute could've created a synth Moldaver, since they didn't even exist until the year 2110. In order to re-create her, they would need access to her brain, which would've decayed into nothing by the time the Institute was founded.

I think she might be in the Enclave. 1. she was working on cold fusion which to me makes me think of Poseidon Energy. 2. Poseidon energy is own by the Enclave (Pre-War government) and they work very close with Vault-Tech. So I think since they market off of the end of the world, they stop her project and she seen what their vile plans were. Going to have to go out and say, I doubt Moldaver is a synth. It's a really big stretch especially since they clearly show that fast healing serum as a blatant MacGuffin. Honestly the whole synth plot never made sense and they've made it more than a little clear that the Synths never made it far out of the Commonwealth (which is a funny name to use since the US in Fallout was remade into 13 Commonwealth's but the Boston Commonwealth area stretches across the New England area and includes the Capital Wasteland and West Virginia as well, but that's a story for another day.) To say she is a synth I think is just reaching when they give answers directly in the show of what it likely is. In the end Maldaver I am sure is who she is and was before the war. We know the Enclave worked on serums before and after the war since various serums can be gained in Fallout 76 which is 25 years after the bombs dropped.

What evidence did you discover from the show that lead to your conclusion? What do you know for certain? You presented a reach theory based on absolutely nothing that was shown in the series. For a "discovery" you would need solid references from the show that hinted at your conclusion. Is it possible that she was a synth? Yes. But you've provided no evidence from the show to support that other than she's not a ghoul. Maximus was in Shady Sands too, he didn't turn into a ghoul. It's just as likely that she was in a cryo pod and that's how she's still alive 219 years later. Also there was absolutely nothing in the show that suggested there was a rift between Lucy's mom and Muldaver. Just the opposite was shown. Muldaver loved her so much she kept her around even though she was a ghoul. An example of a solid clue can be seen in the series True Detective. In an early episode there was a sign shown in the foreground while a guy was cutting a lawn. That sign, when partially obscured, read "notice king." That was a solid clue that the guy cutting the lawn was the night king, the big bad in the series. When the theory that that character was the night king was presented, it wasn't just a reach, it was based on some tangible evidence! That sign was a real discovery. Something found in the show that was a solid clue.

It then cuts back to him and Dogmeat and says something along the lines of, "You just ain't her, Dogmeat." Also, Dogmeat is way less of a mouthful to say than CX404 and just calling the dog 'Four' sounds weird haha idk

Keep in mind though, it does seem that the entire world was affected by this, as in the Mothership Zeta DLC in Fallout 3, we see that the whole earth is destroyed. But also, I do agree with the nukes being intentionally smaller, as when we nuke Megaton, the crater isn’t too massive. That being said, the glowing sea in Fallout 4 is quite large of an area.

Is Siggy really Enclave? Did the Enclave steal the cold fusion chip that can only be activated by a vault tec employee. All Moldavers inventions were bought up by Vault tec, so I think Siggy is really Vault tec. It makes more sense to why he knows so much about the vaults.

Nah, synths shouldn’t age, either, and she did, between meeting Rose and the time of the show. So the unaccounted time had to be due to hyper chamber. She was probably capable of having the tech, apart from vault-tec. She was also pretty important in Shady Sands, so she might have been away on some business when the it was bombed.

Your theory could be true, but it still doesn’t at all address how Vault 32 had the raiders and her and somehow Betty and Bud had no red alerts when they suddenly where hearing communications from a vault they knew killed itself 2 years ago. Think about it, Betty stood there with Hank and they acted like they had no clue, they had to be acting because they wanted out or the next part of Buds plan was beginning. Because make sense of Betty Bud and Hank being fully aware Vault 32 killed themselves two years ago and then replay the intro episode. You’ll see Hank and Betty in that classic Dark fallout way

Yes, this is true. We don’t know for a fact that he’s becoming a ghoul, but keep in mind that ghouls, even in the show, can’t regenerate limbs. Coop gets his finger cut off and has to sew it back on. Thaddeus can be seen literally regenerating. I think they just had no idea what was happening to Thaddeus so their only explanation in the moment was that he was becoming a ghoul. If he can regenerate, that would be the opposite of a ghoul, as ghouls lose their flesh.

I like your theory and I'd bet it will be close to what happens. I hate Moldaver. Most of the characters are evil, she's no different. (Exceptions being Lucy, Maximus, and Sig.) The Ghoul, my favorite character, is pretty evil. We understand why. Moldaver rubs me the wrong way. She just comes in at the start, slaughters everyone, and leaves them to die. I was rooting for her fall the entire season and I did not change my mind in the final episode.

Tbh, I felt the EXACT same way as you, until I rewatched and focused in closely on her story. It made me feel happy for her that all of her 200+ years of work have finally paid off. She was willing to do whatever it took to achieve this new future. Hank wiped out her home? (Shady Sands) Of course she would have no issue with wiping his home out. I think at the surface she seems basic, but if you rewatch and understand her character more, she is someone who is tragic.

Gen3 Synths aren’t robotic. They are synthetic humans. Created in a lab. Their bones, organs, muscles, everything. I’ve shown in this video and you can look for yourself in Fallout 4, there is a room showing the entire gen 3 synth creation process. It’s entirely possible for them to bleed out. I do believe that it could be possible in season 2 the brotherhood might be seen saving her though, and maybe she just passed out? But I’m not confident on that or anything, just a thought I had.

@@jlong390 the same exact reason that we see thrusters on the power armor arms in the show, or why ghouls now need a serum to prevent them from going feral, or why power armor in the show, fallout 4 and 76 are now giant suits you have to hop into rather than just armor you throw on like any other outfit. changes are made in franchises as time goes on to give better understandings and logic to them. since my theory suggests that she is a Gen 3 synth, and we see the process of how they are created in fallout 4, it makes perfect sense that they would be able to bleed out.

​@@dballerxx Power armor was always supposed to be a bulky suit that you had to get into in a way such as in 4 and 76. The engine couldn't optimize as well for older generation of consoles and graphics cards and such so they just made them armor replacers. I do have a problem with 4 not needing power armor training. They just give it to you off the bat, it feels very unrewarding to get it. Ghouls have always had a time limit on turning feral, it's not so much a reach to say someone could find a way to extend their lifespan as a non-feral type. If the Cabots have a serum to extend life, so could the ghouls. It may be just that so many people don't have access to it. Real word examples such as insulin prices getting hiked to the extreme and the fact that so many people in the United States and elsewhere don't even have access to healthcare. Not everyone in the wasteland is desperate enough to kill for those drugs, and I'm sure some ghouls are just tired of existing after being alive in the wasteland for so long. I don't think almost anything we've seen in the show is that much of a reach on any of that. I kind of have to agree on the fuck the thrusters thing however. But I hate the brotherhood either way so I mostly focus my hate on the brotherhood in those scenes lmao Main point however is that, we already know Maldavor has access to a good spot in a vault. Coop's wife says so herself. As a high status woman that is a super scientist in the pre-war era I don't find it unbelievable that she would be able to secure access to another cryo vault, if not the same one that was attached to Vault 31. There's also Mr. House in the show, that dude is on his own side and we see him not looking totally happy with the meeting he was in. Robco making a deal with Vault Tec secretly to have intel on the competition and for his own longevity. I still however wouldn't bet on house, but to not explore these topics and just go "Synths!" is kind of crazy. I do think Maldavor just would of been able to pull the strings herself being a great scientist with lots of money working on cold fusion pre-war would have been able to secure a spot. Vault tech had recently bought her company, why would vault tech not want to keep her alive? Seems like a bad decision to me to have screwed over "Miss Williams." on an experiment vault. I think we should explore more topics before we land on synths. Yes they've been around forever, but that one just seems crazy when there are so many options and avenues open right now. I don't think we should all focus too much on one Fallout game that has a fuck ton of synths when for years they've been rare cases.... at least I hope Bethesda wouldn't pull the dumb synth card again after Fallout 4 already had that reveal....

I hope to fuck this show doesn't bring synths into the mix as heavy as fallout 4. Yes synths were a thing before FO4, not complaining about that. The whole synth dilemma in 4 was a really weak story point IMHO. Like yeah fuck them they're just machines except the rare instance of a cyborg as was Kellogg. But even in the game itself they said after Kellogg they monumentally shut down the production of Cyborgs. Please no damn major synth plot points, I already despise the brotherhood.... which is good. If they somehow made me like the brotherhood I'd be pissed. Also they better show some dude being strung up by his entrails for being a deserter or stealing a holotape or not surrendering some minor technology to them, because historically they've been known to be douchebags. Edit: The Enclave man is likely a cyborg of sorts, so I really hope they don't pull that card again.

Plus for Hank to be filled with enough rage to take out a whole city means it was more personal, she left him for another woman so he won't feel too bad killing Rose also. to be honest, episode 1 doesn't make sense to the overall storyline. We learn that through subtle indoctrination that even if an overseer is dies or is unable to be overseer, the vault residents will elect an overseer from 31. also we know that based on the Buds Buds project that all the 31 people would know eachother as they were all from vault-tec. So there is no way that Hank McLean would fall for ruse like Lee Moldaver pulled. As we learned existing vault 31 people will not only create crisis to ensure a transfer is made from vault 31 into 32 or 33, that even a crisis is created to arrange for new elections they mention when Hank was elected prior becuase a vault crisis happened and he lead them through it resulting in his elections. So not only does 31 indoctrinate 32 and 33 citizens to vote 31 people, they will also manipulate and cause problems for a 31 official to win favor if needed. Needless to say, when Lee and hank first speak in episode one he should know lee moldaver is not the overseer as their system to control overseers is built to only ensure 31 people are overseers.

You make a huge leap in logic. There are 13 commonwealths in Fallout. Each has several states. It is more than likely not the Commonwealth seen in Fallout 4. Rwmember that the Enclave is nationwide, in pockets.

Elder Quintus states that the Enclave defector fled “The Commonwealth” and that their orders also came from “The Commonwealth”. Yes, it isn’t directly stated to be Boston, but it is known to the general audience that when referring to “The Commonwealth”, it typically is going to mean Boston. Especially since that’s where Quintus said the orders came from, and we know that Maxson’s BoS is in the Boston Commonwealth. We also see The Prydwen, which has been confirmed to actually be The Prydwen from Fallout 4. It all adds up to point towards Boston over any other location.
