I loved when they did that with Sims 2 packs. They would be like "University Life Bundle" and have the university expansion pack + 2 stuff packs. The Sims 2 Deluxe Edition had base game + Night Life EP + 2 Stuff Packs, one for parties and the other for formal celebrations if I'm not mistaken.

Don't get me wrong this kit seems lovely and I think the work done on it is great and I love the fact that they are working with game changers and modders and CC creators, but I just feel really wrong buying kits especially as most peoples and my own game is so broken I can barely play. It just feels kinda seedy to me that EA are releasing more content whilst the game is unplayable for a lot of people. It feels as if EA doesn't care / doesn't want to fix things (see dine out, my wedding stories or the fact it took over a year for dream home decorator to get a major fix) and it feels like it has reached a major tipping point for me. I feel like the only way EA will respond is if we stop buying new releases until they make some chances.

I think what everyone assumes or maybe they forget, is that kits, are not meant to appeal to the masses. They are meant to fill in your game with content that you like, and they don't expect everyone to buy them (unless you are like me and you have to have a complete game, but that's my quirk and I live with it). So if you don't like a kit - EA knows that this isn't everyone's forte, not everyone is going to care about more kids clothes, because some people legit never play with kids, or seldom play with kids, so they wouldn't care about more kids clothes, while those that do would love this pack.

While I totally understand what you’re saying a big thing with the sims is that everyone’s working on different projects. The team whose job is to put out packs is not the same one that works on bug fixes etc. So the dlc people have to keep putting out stuff even if the game play people don’t have everything together. Unfortunately the sims isn’t a collective and making kits is probably easier then bug fixes.

Hi simsie! I think it’s equally as important to address how most games, including mine, are so broken it’s nearly unplayable even still after the updates (which failed to fix any significant base game bugs). I think it’s important for bigger sims creators to make noise and boycott future sims 4 content to effectively get EA’s attention to address these issues. Sims 4 is a comfort game for me, and now I can’t even load any of my save files without something going wrong. Please try talking about this more, bigger influencers have the voice to make this change. But I do understand how you have to rely on sims content to continue with this channel and that it can difficult to navigate. Thank you so much! 🧡

All the love to the creator who helped make this kit. However, I'm not ok with buying anything from EA at this point. Also these clothes are too pastel for anything I see on kids these days, at least where I live. Why is the only "backpack" a purse backpack and not a real one like the kid is going to school with books or a laptop? That would have been way cooler in my opinion. Anyway, I'm not giving them my money till I can play in CAS and my sims are fully visible; I can switch between sims in live mode and it not lag for 20 seconds; and my sims can go on dates with people who show up.

Honestly I don't think the backpack is intended to be a school backpack. As someone in school currently kids definitely wear the purse backpack and usually either carry their bigger items or have a regular backpack. I think the kids age is like 10-14??? in the Sims and kids that age in my area definitely would wear that kind of stuff. Anyway EA is a bit,, ??? currently I agree on that

They’re clearly insanely good quality, but this kit just feels like they converted Incheon Arrivals to child frames. The style and color palate is very similar, and one of the jackets is basically identical. That’s not inherently a bad thing, Incheon Arrivals is the best CAS kit imo, but it just feels like an odd choice for a kid’s kit? If the color palate had more colorful and childlike options I think it would’ve helped a lot. I’m keeping flashbacks to Modern Menswear, which we all hoped would scratch an itch we’d been harping on but instead it created an almost new itch and scratched that instead. Not a perfect analogy since femme clothes for masc frames were sorely needed, but it definitely was not what people meant when they were asking for more masc clothes.

I am soooooo happy for Jenn! I'm sure she's been working on this kit for a while but after everything that happened recently with her channel, this collab is such a well-deserved win! She curated such cute stuff too, and I think it's cool that they worked with someone who's known for sim creation and especially family gameplay (as well as being a real life mom lol), she clearly knew what the kids clothing section was lacking. As much as the kits are kinda scummy on EA's part, I do appreciate when they make a kit like this or the blooming rooms kit: something that not every player might need but that fill gaps in the catalogue for console players or pc players who don't use mods. I agree with the comments though that it would definitely be nice if they offered a kit bundle like they do bigger packs. I think my favorites from this are the beanie, the backpack sweater, and the dress with the t-shirt underneath!

Sadly there’s never gonna be enough people behind it for it be affective. Even if all of Kayla’s viewers agreed to not buy packs, that’s only a small fraction of the sims community. Even if all the viewers of all the major sims youtubers agreed, there’s still tons of people playing the sims who don’t watch the KZbinrs. EA is still going to be making plenty of money. Realistically we’ll never be able to rally enough people to not buy anymore packs.

However lilsimsie's viewers are disproportionately BIG fans of the Sims 4. Many of Kayla's viewers will have bought every single pack for the Sims 4, spending over £1000. Many will preorder every pack before they even release. They will also play the game regularly and engage with The Sims on social media (both important for EA's figures). This is not true for the average Sims 4 player. We've seen how quickly the Sims Team actually address issues when the Game Changers collectively call them out (e.g. skin tones, Wedding pack). If the Game Changers and extended Sims youtube community agreed to boycott all packs it would have a HUGE impact on the Sims 4's incoming profits and would also garner a lot of negative media attention.

@@morgandidion7177 There are so many but a bunch that affect me are: - Everyone is constantly asking to be my bff - Adults asking my teen sim to be their date/be in a relationship Those two are from the new hs years pack ^^ - even if I beat my sims fears it always comes back constantly and when you disable the feature it re enables itself - some weird lag where my sim teleports to areas instead of walking - the game cancelling actions you assign so I keep on having to reselect them There's a huge list of issues other people are experiencing that I'm thankfully not in my own game, but the bugs really end up being so annoying after awhile :(

Everyone keeps saying that beanie is 'so cute' but its actually extremely basic. The nifty knitting beanies are way cuter. IDK this kit out of all the kits Ive seen come out is the most pointless and just why? You can find nicer CAS clothes for kids from CC. I do agree the little campers kit was cute as heck. This one seems like a lazy cash grab. They spent more thought and energy on the kit promotions than the actual content. I could be bias too because I dont spend much time at all in CAS and I lean more toward building/play.

You see a ton of cheap lil kits and go berserk buying them. They’re selling better than stuff packs. this is great and all, but the game is still very broken.. so it’s extremely inappropriate for EA to still be releasing stuff like everything is fine. we can’t expect change if we keep buying these things (unfortunately not everyone will do that and i understand).. but we also can’t keep promoting this stuff and giving it attention because EA will just assume we’re satisfied when we’re not overall. the items are cute but now is not the time honestly

I’ve said this a few times and my opinion stands: I love the idea of kits. I know most sims KZbinrs don’t approve, but I feel like it’s a great option to people who don’t get to buy all other packs but would like a few extra things for 5 bucks. I know it sucks for completionists but for me, personally, is great, cause I get to buy a cheapER “pack” and still have new things to the game. I really think it’s supposed to be a niche thing, in the sense where people, most likely, wouldn’t buy ALL the kits, just the ones they’re interested in. Just my opinion, wanted to throw it out there.

I agree to an extent. I think that kits are good for parents with young children who play the game… but on the other hand if you want to spice up your game & actually get value for your money… save $5-$10 per month & buy a better pack with the money saved.

Agreed. Lots of the kits have the same number of items as stuff packs and sometimes the gameplay items in the stuff packs were not worth that extra $5. Some of them aren't worth $5 a pop but I don't feel pressured to buy all of them, just the ones I need. I also feel like the sims community is experiencing mass amnesia because they were charging this much and more for singular ITEMS in the sims 3 store

I think the smart watch is supposed to be like a Gabb watch. It’s not really an Apple Watch, it’s like a watch parents have control over.
