Congrats on your beautiful home. Get some slip covers for your couch/loveseat. Temu, Amazon etc. carry these in an array of colors/patterns…much less expensive than buying new furniture and no furniture painting involved. Plus, they are machine washable and will update the space. Take care hun! ❤

I try to keep my countertops with minimum clutter. I have a large amount of items, but I don't want to dust or clean it every few days. Less is more in my place! Happy you found a great place Shawna! ❤😊

They sell acrylic at Lowe’s and places like that. You could measure behind your kitchen sink and then have them cut it to size and put it on the wallpaper behind the sink to protect it. That’s what my parents did in their kitchen behind the stove to prevent splatter. 😉

Getting settled in to a new place can take some time. I wouldn't rush into buying new furniture when you have perfectly good furniture already...I do like you idea of getting covers. I have a couple questions: Are the girls still attending their same school or did they have to transfer schools? Did you sell your old home to your family member or are you renting it out to them? Perhaps you already addressed these topics, but I missed it.

They did switch schools. It was better for everyone but hard. We sold the home, it’s cool to still stop by there lol

I invert all my plates, bowls cups just in case some kind of bug comes crawling through they don’t get in or on the side I’m eating from. I always see people setting up their kitchen with plates, bowl, cups right side up. I’m not saying you have bugs but every now and then any household is going to get a bug or two.

I usually do with cups but the white ones all have lids with sip slots. The other thing is when the kids do the dishes they will drop them that way for sure lol

James main take away buying the house was he didn’t want me to touch the cabinets lol I said ok but that Hunter green is a gorgeous color and I wanted it on the walls but stayed white so I wouldn’t get tired of it. I would love to add it as a bed cover or maybe furniture. If we ever get a cabin I want it all hunter green 🤭

I would like to eventually but not at the moment. I’m not really sure what to put in there because I don’t want it to be wood and I haven’t found a tile look I like that is not the grout kind. I really don’t want to clean that grout lines in the kitchen but I love tiles kitchens. Lol

It is. In the living room near the kitchen the beds have pull out beds. Im keeping them regardless. Would like to buy new mattresses and bedding and have them for guest. James has his mind on furnishings for the bar room first for lounging.

No. All that we changed majorly was paint and updated floors but we had professionals do it. The one area that will be made over is the laundry room. It’s getting new floor and organization. I might do my youngest daughter’s closet as well. But before making over the sunroom as well after the laundry room.
