We FINALLY Traveled To KUALA LUMPUR [First Impressions of Kuala Lumpur]

Finally, at LONG LAST, we've made it to the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur! Kuala Lumpur is a city that's been at the top of our travel bucket list for some time. In today's video, we finally make it there!
The travel day was a bit difficult. Air Asia made things very difficult & honestly, we'll avoid it going forward. It was just a very bad experience lol. Thankfully, Malaysia Airlines came to the rescue & got us on our flight from Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur with little fuss. The flight to Kuala Lumpur was only an hour or so but WOW was that a gorgeous flight to take. Hands down a top five flight of the year for us. We touched down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, hopped on the Kuala Lumpur airport train, & arrived at KL Sentral where we hopped in a Grab to get the rest of the way home. We've got some SERIOUSLY fun Kuala Lumpur coming soon & we can't wait to show you guys this awesome city. It honestly surprised us a ton. See you all in a few days!!

That was EXACTLY what made us so grumpy honestly. We totally get delays. We travel a lot so we’re sort of used to them at this point😅 but man. The communication was non-existent & felt like they had absolutely no respect for us. It was a really poor experience all around, but thankfully Malaysia Airlines came to the rescue. Even as a local, I try to avoid flying Airasia whenever possible. Its cheap....but its hard to have peace of mind 🤣.

Hai there, there's some funfact u wanna know on this whole vid trips. 1. Airasia has always 50/50 delayed chances. Take travel insurance that cover delays, its worth it. 2. Train that you get in was a KLIA Transit while u bought a KLIA Express. Same route different platforms. Express will take you just 20minutes to KL sentral while klia transit ..... will take a while.

Sounds like an absolute nightmare travel day! Had one ourselves recently. 😂 Nothing worse than when the airline gives you zero information. The standard procedure for all airlines in the world is to do testing before flight and if a technical test fails, the repair will be done and if the repair is not able to be completed, a free hotel accommodation will be provided. This was what happened to me also in Japan Airlines. I thought the Japan Airline would be better than Malaysian or Singapore Airlines from Singapore going to LA with one stop at Tokyo but the repair in Tokyo had been delayed and I got to stay in a gorgeous hotel at Nikko Narita hotel for a night. Not bad at all.

Lovely vlog you got here, as a half-malaysian frequently returning to my second home I'm happy you guys had a good impression of KL. Langkawi is an amazing island for a short getaway too. Air Asia isn't the most reliable of airlines however, so I always go for Malaysia Airlines, they're on-time and service is impeccable. Air Asia is well known for its delays. For one of the major airlines operating in South East Asia, it is very poor when it comes to punctuality. I am a Malaysian and would usually opt for other airlines when it comes to domestic flights.

Didn't airasia send you an email about compensation if their flight is delayed especially for more than 3 hours? The letter comes right after airasia confirmation about your flight purchase. It's a new rule made by Malaysian government against airasia. You could ask compensation from airasia.

We’re normally very careful about what we say when it comes to airlines and I’ll admit, we cut A LOT of what we were saying out of this video. But man, this was hands down the worst experience we’ve had while flying. I understand a malfunction on the plane, but they handled it so incredibly poorly and refused to refund us at the end of it all. Just a terrible experience with them all around.
