I am a Malaysian Eurasian (Catholic Christian) here.. Thank you for recognizing the Beauty of our country.. Islam is the official religion here but for the non Muslims we are free to practice our religion here and what's beautiful is that despite being different by race/religion we hold our back together as family. How? Obviously being respectful and having good manners what keeps us united. As we know Muslims have to comply with their religious laws so for us non Muslim when we hangout with our Muslim friends we would find a halal eatery (no pork/alcohol). Besides that we love to share the beauty of our religion to each other even though we have a different belief/faith because we rather let our friends understand than to judge us which can cause misunderstanding. Talking about love relationships, yes in Malaysia you must convert to Islam if you want to marry a Malay (Muslim) by the constitution law of this country. Mixed marriage is allowed only for non Muslim Malaysians of other races for example most commonly the Eurasians (Christian), Indians (Christian/Hindu), Chinese (Christian/Buddhist/Taoist). So mostly Malays will marry a Malay because of the same religion but there are other races too who marry a Malay and convert to Islam, but a Malay can't leave his or her religion to marry a non Muslim. So i hope my explanation is clear for you guys to understand more about our country, the laws, and beauty of every nation you meet here regardless of our race and religion because we are Malaysians. 🇲🇾 Feel at home guys..🙏🏾

Because family words such as ah gong, ah ma, uncle, aunty, aci, anneh. tangekeci, thambi, ah boi, pakcik, makcik, abang, kakak, miss, madam, puan, tuan, and adik have connotations of respectfulness, closeness, and understanding. What she has described, is what is known as chillax (chill + relax). There is no need to be stressed over small matters, or on the hind side it doesn’t matter. Malaysians are generally very friendly and helpful, it’s just the barrier to approach and talk and ask for help. ‘Hi Auntie!’ or ‘Hi Uncle’ is all it takes to form the connection/ affection with Malaysian strangers (of course using more localized terms like Bang, Boss, Makcik, Cik, Lao Ban would be better). Also, just like any other places in the world, be street smart; if you sense something is not quite right, just gently request to get out of the situation

In Malaysia, we actually have a kind of 'new' greetings thats Malaysian are getting comfortable with. Applies to men, we often address each other (whether we strangers, acquintance or whatever) by saying "Hai boss" humbly. This is all it takes to start conversation. As a Malaysian myself, I too used to have some tough time to start communication with stranger here but hi bos make it easier. Generally Malaysians are friendly.

Malaysians especially Malays have been spreading their magic dust of kindness long before and during Malacca Sultanates. Throughout history of this blessed land…even there were wars amongst chieftains and neighbouring state from the North, the Malay people hardly became victim of mass killing or genocide. Their soft and politeness melted the heart of their conquerors and their strongest weapon of war is their diplomacy. They’ve got everything through talk and over food. If we read many historical books both by western people and from China…the Malay people through the region basically were non confrontational but of course they are rogue sections of the community but overall, their culture of politeness and adab ( good ethic) both have been their strength and their weaknesses in this world of capitalism and that individualistic environment. We work hard to maintain that but it is becoming a challenge with the advancement of technology and influx of foreign cultures that may influence our youngs.

Poland also a nice place to be, easy to move around with its good public transport in Warsaw plus Uber and car for hire. Been there before Covid for about two weeks; went to Warsaw old town around its legendary mermaid, to Gdansk old town and strolling along its waterfrront, to Zakopane and to its mesmerizing Morskie Oko and to Krakow (where I got my car door pasted with a co*k sticker - I didn't really know why but I figured that somebody must've not happy with the way I parked the car - never mind, it took only a couple minutes to take it out.) Polish Zlotty is comparable to Malaysian RM roughly about 1:1.1, so moneywise Malaysias will feel home there although for muslim travellers, there is somewhat limited choice of local foods they culd enjoy. As a DIY enhusiast myself I really like Warsaw Home Depot.
