If the engine was ran with a turbo and turbo piping was welded without flowing gas through it maybe some slag broke loose from the inside or some pieces of the turbo.

And not running a air filter with a huge air pump (turbo) sucking in small rocks exc. a good filter doesn’t even restrict airflow! KZbin video needs to see the compressor wheel spinning, overrides saving the equipment. Rob seams to have other professionals do the work (I do not hate him at all for this) so I would not throw the welder under the bus so fast. I’m also a fabricator so I may be bias some😂.

If you're tired of replacing gaskets every time you take something apart when it comes to the your engine buy this stuff called halimar .you put it on both sides of the gasket it never fully dries so it always has a tacky surface just wipe it off carb cleaner and reapply it. it's not like RTV you do it super thin layer

Some rotary builders like to keep their port work a secret... for whatever odd reason. There is literally no mystical magic behind it. There is even an engineering picture, with measurements, on how the portshape determines the opening, duration, and closing of the port to determine what the powerband is going to be. It also includes measurements on bridge ports, as well as measurements for scalloped rotor for even more port timing. And this is just for the intake ports. The exhaust ports are easy and have simple measurements on matching them with the intake ports. Its not rocket science anymore like it was in the 80's and 90's.

Man this was poorly built look at all the rust in the apex seals and rotor iron looks like it has been leaking coolant as soon as it was started for the first time. no wonder why the apex seals are stuck not because of a lean condition or smashing in to the housing it's because the rotors have been bathed in coolant from the get go. Not to mention that the Iron porting is flawed Because why would there be a gouge in the rotor,iron and housing, that indicates to me that the porting is too aggressive or not measured properly allowing one of the corners of the apex seal to fall out.
