In this episode, we tour more tiny teardrop campers at the Harrison Bay State Park Campground. We see our first Nucamp T@G up close, our first ever New Wave Teardrop, and we tour a very well built DIY Teardrop. We also discuss what goes on at a TearJerkers meetup. It’s been our experience that the TearJerkers welcomes all types of campers. At the four gatherings we’ve attended, we’ve seen DIY teardrop campers, factory-built teardrop trailers, squaredrop campers, converted cargo trailer campers, travel trailers, converted vans, vintage campers, and travel trailers. Just goes to show all those people out there paying for these big old RV's that you can pull or park very easy. Goes to show that designing a cargo camper, or a tear drop camper. Or like mine a bicycle cargo camper trailer. That it does not have to be a big old house your pulling down the road. Just has to fit you and you loved ones, be strong and serve it's purpose. Thanks Michael for sharing videos of all these great folks and their rigs! I'm hoping to join you if I get this built... I'm converting a 4'x6'x5' point nose w/ramp Cargo trailer. So far, added: 2-12x22 windows and the 26x36 Amazon side door; 5ft tongue extension for a 48"x68" aluminum diamond plate front deck and 10" wide side steps in front of the fenders. Planning on: 32" TV on a 28"x48" cabinet in the point with stereo and all electric controls; 5k btu air conditioner; a 6' couch sitting on stacked storage boxes that support the 3 piece hinged bed boards and mattress pads; 2" rear hitch for a 'back porch' rack to offset tongue weight and that also holds 2" sq tubing support for the floor of my 'ramp room' which will be a rear kitchen & add'l space bringing interior to 4x9; Roof rack will hold 2 solar panels and duffel bags for clothes, bedding, etc; Trailer Doubles as a toy hauler for a People S200 scooter! Wish me luck....

The forward swept wall is something that I've had in my head for years, probably because I've rested against so many badly designed couches with my dodgy back. Pain definitely makes one consider comfort over looks sometimes 😆 I'm the same with coffee lol, glad I'm not the only one. My brother bought a Nu Kamp Tag about a month ago, having spent _ALL_ off the money on it for a new one. It's outfitted similarly to the one you showed in this video. Brilliant craftsmanship makes it worth the money. But... having seen your videos on teardrop storage, I couldn't help but notice there wasn't hardly any beyond that one cabinet in the galley! He's got air conditioning, heat, and the microwave... none of which is serviceable without shore power. Both my brothers and I camped in tents with the Boy Scouts, so I know he knows that. To each his own. 🤷‍♂ Having said that, I'm trying to sell the wife on the idea of a Tab, since she's dead set about not staying anywhere without a bathroom. The 400 seems a fair compromise between the teardrop and a full-size camper, and our little Chevy S10 should be able to tow it handily.

We had plywood galley for almost 2 years before settling on our current design. What we ended up is not how we thought we'd camp. It is really a great tip to start camping before trying to "finish".

Nothing wrong about the k cup coffee ... I actually have opened up the k cups and brewed it up in a mini drip coffee maker ... and it tastes really good ... its the taste, That is so good ...

If you've got shore power or just propane grill, try french pressed coffee. The flavor is hard to beat. The downside is the cleanup.

It never dawned on me to check with a manufacturer. As long as the coffee isn't instant! I thought that would be a good idea when I was work camping last year. Horrible. I have already made my 2022 resy's for all the Carolina gatherings and getting ready to submit my form for the Teardrop City Gathering. I use the same k-cup machine and the same coffee. You are right that coffee is the best. I think the major brands are blending robusta coffee into the arabica. First noticed that Folgers tasted different.

You mentioned that you use a heating blanket…..which one do you use?

I don’t know the brand, but it’s a queen size blanket that runs on AC electric. It has a control that goes from 1-10 (I think). We usually run it around 3. It heats the camper up nicely.

I had a Biddeford for 5 years, nightly use. It died, and I spent WAYYY too much on a Hammacher Schlemmer one, and it barely works after a few months. I'll send it back and take their store credit, which the are great about. The other fail was a rubber failure on a language translator. I couldn't get it off. It was gross. It was just sticky. I think you use rubbing alcohol on it now..
