I fish Brushy Creek regularly. If you ever decide to come back, i suggest texas rig 7" worm. I use motor oil color in pretty much all weather and water conditions. Its my "go-to". Trouble with brushy creek is cover. Its literally everywhere. Spring fishing is pretty easy. Hammering shoreline structure. Summertime the bigger fish move deeper. Seems the smaller bass can still be caught on shorelines with the same ole texas rig but not many big fish. For bigger fish in warmer summer water i run drop-shot with 5" salamander in 15' or of water. Hard to find that depth in that lake as the shorelines drop straight off to the bottom in most places.

Fished this lake last year went on a day where all the fish were shut off There was absolutely no activity anywhere tried everything I think we’re gonna hit it harder this year as I’m giving much more time to learn all our lakes in iowa and surrounding states boji is by far one of my best places as I caught many 5s 6s and a 7 consistent and many types of grass and types of bottoms also the oxbows along the river are extremeley good when our water is up some of my favorite lakes are some of the smallest something about shallow lakes and big bass in iowa

what ive learned about boats is what can go wrong normally will go wrong lol but thats just all part of the fun. but great video guys i havnt been up to brushy for a couple years i need to get up there. i normally go for the smallmouth on the small rivers around me here in central iowa.

Fortunate enough to live right next to this lake it’s great for crappie and good for walleyes early in the year don’t really fish bass though so I wouldn’t know how good it is
