One thing people may not realize because the cameras are covering it up, they are struggling with placement because they are not reading the left side. Shift/Alt + Flightmode.

If you put a wall along the corner of the second floor, you can go 2 roofs up from that wall which will close your roof without a third floor. On the first floor you will have to add columns every 2 foundations along the outside under the new wall. On the first video it looks like you have the columns on the correct row already. Will take more of your structure limit adding the columns, and you'll lose some floor space. I think it would be closer to what you originally were going for, and squaring up the corner is in my opinion, better than running the wall down the center as in your first idea.

It's challenging to get your head around sometimes. It's 3 blocks from foundational support. So if you have a ceiling on a pole, the pole is foundation, and the ceiling you could say has a weight of 1, then you can put 2 roofs on, each with a weight of 1. A wall however has a weight of 0, so you can put a wall on the ceiling, and the top of the wall still has 2 you can build from. Also you cant support a wall or a roof with a column, you have to have a ceiling in between. So to carry foundation to the top it would need walls the whole way for support. Ceiling/Roofs -1 Walls/columns 0 Foundation +3

A good tip is make your center dot more visible and use that white dot to aim at edges and corners of what you want to snap to. It doesn't fix the jank but it does help.

Not sure if I'm doing it wrong but in flight move the movements are kind of jerky when trying to place objects and line them up. Hope they fix the sensitivity, then the build mode would be perfect

Yeah, I think that’s like that for everybody, unfortunately, honestly, I’m not a big fan of their flight mode building yet. Attempt to try to find other ways to do it without using flight mode.

@@ReactiveGaming86 Yeah its really annoying. When you build with character you can place more precisely but you have collisions with walls so sometimes cant place things normally. If you played Fallout 4 before, they should rework some things to make it similar to the settlement building

Im also having building in this game. I was trying to make my building tall and when i want to place a ceiling. It had a message saying to frequent even to the building has 4 floor ls

try getting the piece close to where u want it then use shift and scroll.--may help
