WE FIXED THE GARAGE // TLF 27

In this video, we get both garage doors operating for the first time since Julie and Josh bought the house. We replace the extension springs, pulleys, rollers, and garage door opener. We also replace the entry door to the house with a fire-rated door and install a smart deadbolt that lets family members unlock it with a fingerprint!

The existing opener is flaky. For some reason, we couldn’t get the new remote to control the existing opener. I couldn’t get it to work with HomeLink either. New one, no problem.

great job! on most openers (craftsman, genie), you can use one keypad to open 2 or more garage doors. Each door will have its own code. You can save on buying additional keypads.

The existing opener has been flaky from the start. Wouldn’t program with the new unit’s remote and won’t program with HomeLink. I hope it dies soon so we can replace it!
