Assuming you guys are upgrading the cooling system... Where are you sourcing your parts? Radiator, intercooler, heat exchanger... etc.

Good luck and enjoy! I have a 17 X5 35iX with close to 120k mi with MPPK, MPE, VRSF charge pipe, K&N filter. Its would be a Stage 1 making a minimum of 320hp at the wheels running 94 octane. All maintenance is up to date no leaks anywhere and recently replaced a valve cover but need new front control arms and the differentials + transfer case fluid changed.

I tried to put a stage 2 plus on a 2014 x5 s35i and it said the dme is locked so I had to remove the dme and get it unlocked. I got it back and didn't put one of the pins all the way in and my x5 didn't want to start but it let me put in the tune. I fix the connections but I for some reason wanted to put stock tune in first before actually putting in the stage 2. Reason why is because when it didn't let me put the tune, I had to put it back to stock to be able to start it. Well it locked my dme again and now I have to resend it to get it unlock. I just want to warn everyone not to put the stock tune but stage 0. Hopefully someone doesn't do what I did and have to pay twice to get it unlock. I wish MHD would have warn me one or even twice to it will lock my dme if I return to stock.

Bro pls keep us updated! Never heard of running stage 2 with OEM parts. I’m stage 2 same car but with bolt ons, runs amazing. Maybe I’ll make a video here soon

@@Sliderz_Officialhe’s clueless 💀💀 motor is fine but you may clog cats, charge pipe may break like you said, and obviously small impact on longevity on stuff, but long story short he’s clueless. Oh and also heat soak maybe from long extended pulls with no upgraded fmic

MHD details in the App what you need before each tuning stage... for stage 2 plus , you need an upgraded intercooler , a catless downpipe , preferably a charge pipe... it will work with stock parts, but you are definitely putting a hell lot of pressure on the plastic OEM parts, on the engine as the Catalytic converter will do it's job and the pressure will be regurgitated back... this will decrease the overall "happy time" you'll have with thus beautiful X5 before your next repairs. You said in the video that "there is a possibility for some failures, depending on how aggressive you drive"... with Stock , it is NOT a possibility, it is inevitable, and maintenance has nothing to do with that, but aggressive driving adds to the insult... Man, if this is not your car, then you might be giving a questionable advice to your friend. Best wishes.

Thanks for watching ! We are well aware of the strain on plastic parts and we are looking forward to upgrade if need be , so far the car has given no issues. MHD does recommend those parts but it is not required! Those upgrades will definitely help the car perform to its max potential so we won’t be stock forever but I appreciate your feedback you are a gentleman. 💪🏼

For a stage 2+ you’ll need: Downpipe, intake, upgraded chargepipe and intercooler.

How do you add cooling to the engine? Larger oil cooler?

Many ways ! Larger Intercoolerfor cooler IAT , Meth for cooler combustion, performance radiators for lower coolant temps , upgraded oil / trans coolers. Even running e85 is a great way to see cooler temps.

@@Sliderz_Officialstage 1 is designed for stock cars and is not harmful for the engine, doing a stage 2 or higher on a stock car puts a lot of stress on the engine and turbo. The stock downpipe is really reducing the flow and because of the tune this will create a lot of heat in the engine and the turbo this will damage your engine. Maybe search on the internet, there it will probably be better explained them me. Really cool car so it would be sad if the engine blows because of the tune

Super license is much less than that, I believe it’s in the 500 range. Search for N55 Super License

@ oh no, I guess I will do the other stuff first, like down pipes. I’m looking for an intercooler but haven’t found anything, any ideas? I know heat is a big thing for this type of engine. Any help would help. Love the channel great content. Sent the video of the M8 to my friend that has the same one looking to add power.
