Josh, you need to eat food until all your hunger bars/increments (the ham looking things) are full. There's a thing in Minecraft called saturation which means that when you eat food, even if the food usually fills more bars of hunger than you apparently have left to fill, it will still have the same effect, so you won't lose hunger value on that piece of food. For example, say you've only got one bar (ham thingy) of hunger to fill, you can eat a piece of cooked chicken which would usually replenish three bars, but your hunger won't go down again for a while because you can imagine that there are another two imaginary bars of hunger added onto those you can see, so you won't start losing any hunger bars until you have burnt energy equivalent to two hunger bars. This is very important as at the moment you are not eating until all you're hunger bars are filled, and as a result a lot of the time you are not regenerating health. From 11:04 you weren't regenerating any health which is largely why you ended up dying to mobs.

Aight so - You need to make baked potatoes by putting the potatoes in a furnace, one of the best foods - If you don't want that many mobs while travelling carry a bed - Shields are very good against skeletons, try to use them because skeletons are honestly op in new minecraft -Not all villagers can trade anymore, only the specialised ones can, also it doesn't matter what your holding (they are normally the ones with the hats) (also you can know if villages have certain villager traders based on block, e.g. lectern means there's a librarian. -Let your weapon recharge before you hit again, it does significantly more damage Hope this helps

Josh keep expandind your cow farm you will need it to farm leather which you can then use to make books ands eventully bookshelves. You also need to farm sugarcane which is easy. A chicken farm might also be a good idea - that way you can farm feathers for arrows.
