I've fed raccoons for a few years now. I put feed out for them off of our deck every evening. I started doing it to keep them from eating my cat food. Mommas always bring their babies and they are adorable. Be sure to check that tree every year because one of our trees always has babies in it, year after year+

We have to be careful of raccoons around my area. They are prone to rabies, and there has been several reports of them having rabies this summer. I have about 9 of them living underneath my house...something I found out when the cat food started getting emptied daily, and it normally took about a week. They were coming in thru our pet door and eating the cat's food. One day, I went toward the back door where the pet door is and, HOLD UP...there were a bunch of them inside the house just a few feet from me escaping back outside. With the reports of various rabies positive raccoons, now I'm moderately worried. We closed the pet door, but they're still here. Feed the dogs..they come out at night and eat the dog food. Trap time, I guess, as we already had possums living under the house...we live up against the woods so we get them both a lot. Just be careful around them as they can really tear you up, and Mav is as inquisitive as he is....not a good thing. Might need to try and make them leave, or trap them in a live trap. But, living in the country and the woods they'll be another group to replace them no matter what you do. Stay safe all of you.

I don’t know your purpose in going to Israel again, but I watch TBN’s “Your Boots on the Ground” with Yair Pinto (he’s a reservist in the IDF who shared what he was seeing in Gaza while fighting) and he now does an almost daily show on UTube. He would be a wealth of information in re the war or just Israel in general. Another perspective. I like the 2 minute shorts. Short and sweet and to the point.
