I haven't yet came across a house in the USA that sells in Ghana cedi. Why is a real estate property domiciled in Ghana, West Africa selling in USD? Vanessa, isn't that enough proof that these houses weren't built for Ghanaians? I think it makes sense that they are empty, the foreigners who actually own them are chilling (it's winter season folks) in their various countries overseas. Lol Just my 2 cents.

@@bmalcolm7903 Hello. Just wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you very much. He is coming back very soon and He wants you to be ready. Just go to Him as you are. You don’t have to be perfect. The only thing He requires is a full surrender of your life. Go to Him and give Him your life and everything. Once you surrender everything (from the heart). He will give you The Holy Spirit in His fullness. The Holy Spirit will then give you faith, the power to overcome sin, peace, fulfillment and above all, eternal life. You cannot do it on your own strength. It’s only by the Holy Spirit. And you get The Holy Spirit once you lay everything down, including your life at The Lord’s feet. He says in His Word “Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit”. People think Christianity is boring. That’s because they see it as a religion. Christianity is not a religion, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who loves you and gave Himself for you. Having a relationship with Christ is the most joyful fulfilling thing you can ever have. Jesus changed my life and He wants to change yours as well. The reason we are all here is to fellowship with and have a relationship with God.

I am from Germany and love the whole channel. It’s nice to see Africa not through western media. In many videos it is so cool to see african countries improving and developing. But this project is just not right. It is a waste of investment. Everything looks the same. Where are the gardens? Where are the solar panels? Where is the individuality? Those houses are not made for the people. They are made for making profit. That’s why no one want‘s to live there. Many good future projects for Africa on this channel, but this one is a complete fail!

As Ghana is expecting 150,000 visitors in December, the developers can rent it out at affordable prices to make some returns. To give it out for free? I don’t think it’s a good idea because most people don’t value free stuff and they will mess the place up.

The reason why most banks are out of business, they build all these mansions thinking Americans will buy them instead of considering average Ghanaians and build houses that they can afford. If your medical doctors are not making 4 thousand dollars a month why renting apartments for 4 thousand dollars a month. Our business men are mad and greedy.

@@raggaarcher3751 You’re not suggesting it’s the banks building these houses are you ? Do you not understand that it’s mainly private investors building these and as such they’re at liberty to build for a niche market ? Who or what gave you the idea that these houses are built for Americans? What’s wrong with the average Ghanaian building their own house like has always been the case ? I really can’t understand the thinking behind some of the comments here. If anybody needs to be held accountable, it’s the government whose job it is to provide accommodation for doctors etc and not private investors.

But where in the world can "average families" afford to live in such houses? Let's be realistic oo. No one would put so much investment into such a project and say "average families" should come and buy. This is East Legon, a prime location where the price of land alone could cost you an arm and a leg. Is it charity? Come on, dawg. Let's look at issues from their proper perspectives oo, and not latch on to populist polemics.

Also here in the west 95% of people cant afford this. The average family with both parents working may afford up to 300k on mortgage. That is with both adults working a decent job. With only 1 person thats working in a family with children, you barely have a chance to even buy any house.

I agree! Homes in the west are price that high mostly because of the nice well built amenities and infrastructure outside the gates of the neighborhood as well as inside the neighborhood. The pricing is way too high even for most westerners wanting to live there hence it being a ghost town. Absolutely beautiful homes! 150k to 400k is more reasonable.

Just very sad. Some of the most beautifull houses Ive seen.. even tho personally I'd prefer a private garden behind the house rather than the house being so overly spacious. This ghost town thing is happening allover the globe however. Hence I dont support buying houses for investment when people just leave it vacant. It doesnt seem right. At least these houses still have a decent chance of becoming occupied in the near future.

"When it comes to Ghana, so many real estate developers don't like green" I see the same thing in Nigeria and many other places where people think that building exactly like in the west is the meaning of development. When in reality that's the pervert side of capitalism, the destruction of nature for economical reasons. Since we are talking about global warming and Africa being mostly affect, this is a dangerous thing to do, build without taking into consideration green spaces. That's ridiculous especial for many African countries where many of our ancestors came from the forest and understood the importance of green spaces. Now, since we think that we need to replicate exactly what the west does, we will end up destroying what our ancestors protected for centuries. See, in those housing projects they tend to plant palm trees almost everywhere, this simply shows that Africans lost their way of life and do no longer understand the importance of nature.
@jovelnom
@jovelnom 2 жыл бұрын
That's due to copy and paste mentallity without doing any proper studies or even ask; "where is the world going, and what are the mistakes other countries have made during development so we can avoid?" I can assure that this same plant design one can find somewhere in europe. Africa has the advantage of studying others' mistakes and build a better society, yet the ones in front of the projects only copy and paste-assuming that everything that comes from outside is good. 🤦🏿‍♂️

@@jovelnom exactly, this is unbelievable. In most real estate projects I see around Africa they come and plant palm trees while that kind of tree do not provide a lot of shadow, do not absorb carbon dioxide as much as trees that we naturally find in our forests. Indeed, where is Africa going by taking this path ? Many African villages are already experiencing drought because of global warming, but here we are acting like nothing is happening... let's keep planting palm trees like if we were at the beach all year long...

What you guys are laughing about is indeed quite scary, but in a different kind of way. A real estate market that relies heavily on foreign investors, and where the citizens of that country cannot afford is a disaster waiting to happen. I wish the investors good luck but Dubai should be a recent reminder.

@@lilacer6841 if you say so, but you know things like these beautify a country, also now you can't say they don't have such homes, so it also massages their ego, Also, I think international investments are inevitable especially for developing countries, they can't manufacture money out of thin air unlike USA so they need money how do they get it? International investors bring money, build homes and other infrastructure, local workforce help to build it, materials are bought from the local industry and all that you don't have to sell 100% of the country but I think there is no harm in allowing foreigners invest or contribute to the economy 10% , 20% no harm in that. Your country has people who owns businesses in foreign countries the same way foreigners own companies or businesses in your own country.

The reason why those houses are empty is the houses are probably too expensive for the average middle income Ghanaian. Ghanaians has a habit of over charging for things. A country with such a cheap labour and you are selling a house for a million dollars?. Even if it costed the developers 1/3 to f the price to build, they want over 300% profit, that is why prices in Ghana are never stable.
