Countrylife.... does Joe happen to have a 6-110 in his Treasure Collection? Please ask him for me.... am looking one, but I definitely Do NOT want one of the early ones (1945 - 1951) with the Centrifugal blower. I am looking for either a NA with a roots, or preferably a 6-110T... and hopefully, a GOOD runner.... and hopefully with a Limiting speed governor, as it is going into a truck I'm restoring. If he does not have a 6-110 / 6-110T.... and still happens to have that 6-71T or TA that I saw in the foreground.... I would consider it. I think I spotted 3 or possibly 4, 12-71s sitting in the background... what are the specs on them other than they appear to be all NA, and how much? I would also be interested in a 3-71T. Thanks.... keep the video's coming, enjoying what you folks are up out there, west of me.

The reason folks like the 2 stroke Detroit is the noise they make , otherwise they are pretty much low power engines. I know the 12 V 71 was pretty good but fuel mileage was horrible, same for the 8V92 it was pretty good power wise but horrible fuel mileage

@@montwolfman.... did you move out of there after they imported about 6,000 of those "carpet pilots" into Missoula a few years back, now!!?? I'm from MT. as well. What are your plans with the 4-51s if you can get them? They were very reliable and quite easy on fuel... great little marine engines with a fair amount of power & torque for being loop scavenged engines! I'm looking through all my DD parts dealers / suppliers, rebuilders and re-manufacturers (even Stewart & Stevenson, and W.W.Williams)... can't find Anything available for the 2 or 4-51. I don't think that even J&T have anything around for the Series 51... John Carey, might have... would have to check with him (has two shops, Delaware & MD.).. never know, and doesn't cost just to ask. I've been trying to hunt down a Good running 6-110T..... W.W.Williams (in OH.) bought out all the block molds, etc. and authority from DD to be able to supply N.O.S. parts, block & head... but they want more money than I can afford at this point, so trying for a good runner with a Limiting speed governor out of an early TS-24 scraper or other industrial application that would have limiting speed gov that I can use for an "automotive" application (semi - restoration).

Yahvi Gaylor..... what size (or, model) 46 Chevy truck are you wanting to put a 4-71T into?.... is it a pick-up truck or something larger? The Only trucks that 4-71s were Ever put into... were GMC's (a some Chevy's) back in the mid-1950s... for use in dump trucks, both single and tandem rear axle units. Everything else that 4-71s were used in, was either for Industrial, Marine or Stationary & Gen-sets..... so you better be careful and Know what the engine was originally set up for, what type of governor (and weight types), crank rotation, injectors (some series injectors are NOT particularly "suitable" for automotive use), blower drive ratio, etc, etc, etc.
