🎉FEEDBACK TIME! Volume of narration vs volume of background music....what do you think? Do to two feel balanced? Or does one overpower the other? What are your thoughts?
@CerraEquus8 ай бұрын
On 15minutes talk I feel like music could be reduced a little bit. I am also not sure if you keep the volume on same level all the time, or if you reduce slightly will narration. But overall I think the volume is good. One more thought to add, I watched the latest movie Mission Impossible where they have train scenes in the end. Music is loud when on the outside of the train, and switches to lower volume when they are inside the train, switching back and forth. Thats really cool. I also know a video game where it is similar, Parcour scene outside loud, and lower volume when entering buildings.
@CerraEquus8 ай бұрын
music volume at around 20mins is fine. I guess it also depends on the titles you choose.
@alfredodejuan3908 ай бұрын
I think that if you turn on the volume of the music, you would force yourself to match the rithm of the music while speaking if you want everything sounds perfect. More simple, more beauty.
@burninoutloud8 ай бұрын
I thought it was well balanced. Hard to tell on the laptop speaker. Mom thought that in the previous video the music was a bit loud at points.
@acnlelis8 ай бұрын
It was perfect! Volume of music lower than the voice when Cora was speaking and a bit louder when she wasn't. Very balanced, very beautiful, very tasteful ^_^
@javig50458 ай бұрын
Are you kidding, your editing, music, everything you put out hits that fine line of perfection and a soothing relaxing feeling comes over me, you know it seems to come naturally to you, so don't change anything, Perfection has been achieved, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it......Javi G.

There’s something about Alaska it just draws you in and beckons you to stay. Once you’ve been there, you’ll never be the same again . I’m coming back this summer and I hope this time I never leave!

Skilak is one of my favorite places to visit, year round. It's wonderful to see someone appreciate this beauty in the fall. I was actually camping at Hidden Lake in 2019 when the Sawn Lake fire broke out across Sterling Hwy, but it had not yet jumped the road yet, so we continued on our trip down to Homer. On our drive back home, we got trapped behind the firelines and had to turn around. The fire damage you were asking about was from thr Swan Lake Fire. I have photos on my Flickr account and some short videos of when we had to drive through the fire to get back to Anchorage. Skilak is one of my favorite places and I go back every year to photograph the regrowth. I really love your videos and the narrative qualities covey your appreciation of this place. THANK YOU.

Also, those are High Bush Cranberries, also called viburnum. ALASKA has almost no poison red berries. The few we have a very distinct and do not grow like that.
@pinksnorlx7 ай бұрын
I also forgot to mention a few things, I have never been to Skilak and NOT seen a blackbear while I was driving on Skilak Road. Also, on the Upper and Lower Skilak campgrounds, there are ALWAYS bears on the campgrounds because of the fish. That's why I NEVER EVER stay at those campgrounds. The campgrounds are too close to the lake and when the salmon are dying, the bears walk right up to campsites.

@ArtWeThereYet posted this before I saw the end of the video ;) I did see you harvesting the berries. There is a tiny book that is less than $10 that will tell you everything you need to know about berry picking in AK. I never go hiking without it because it is so tiny. It's called "Alaska's Wild Berries and Berry-Like Fruit Book" by Verna E Pratt. It also mentions the handful of toxic berries to look out for. We don't have many here.

Jose and Cora Rose...thank you so very much for all of the hard work you put into your amazing videos. I believe that you have found Alaska as alluring as so many before you have...and so hard to leave. Alaska took my heart at 16 years old and has never let go...now at age 75 this vintage(old) singer/songwriter loves it more than ever and I return every two years to spend time with lifelong friends and the magic of Alaska. Your videos are balanced quite well with great narration...incredible video/photography and wonderful music that sets the perfect mood. I am looking forward to many more episodes of your Alaska Adventures. Much love...Bob

Just a phenomenal video! The awesome beauty was just fantastic. I stopped many times and backed up a little bit to see some of the scenery again. We actually were in the Homer/Kenai area when Mt Rideout was erupting the last time. Seeing those sunsets was just phenomenal.I took pictures of them off the television to cherish and add to those we took when we were there previously. Thanks for providing this beautiful video!❤❤

Nice video. I love the time lapse video of the beautiful sunset on Skilak with Redoubt in the background. Foraging season is starting in May with fiddleheads and fireweed shoots. Also you should check out hooligan dipnetting for May 1-31. It's only for residents but fun to watch. People go in Seward, Turnagain Arm, and several other places. Always enjoy your videos.
