We were just walking down a street in Japan, when Crystal saw an advert for an arcade inside a mall. We have never been to this arcade, so naturally we had to check it out and see what there was. We can safely say, we will never need to go to this arcade again.

It's weird to see like every single machine set to payout in a Japanese arcade... Usually they are pretty good about having the majority be skill based. I think the telltale signs of a rigged arcade are: 1. Nobody is there... lol I think you guys figured this one out pretty quickly 2. Every machine is full of prizes... nothing has been won 3. No staff nearby to restock prizes, because nobody is winning anything anyway All the good UFO catcher spots in Japan have at least one staff member always on standby to reset or refill. Even little hole in the wall arcade spots I found in Den Den Town had someone there to help.

Either the arcade owner doesn't know how to set up the machines settings, or the owner is a scam artist/theif. I don't know if asian countries have laws for arcade settings for machines. If they do, report that arcade. 30 years of tech experience here.

Some arcade owners have taken lessons from Casinos over years and the simple fact is if you want customers you need to let them win, its not like the prizes are excessively expensive or anything, you need easy machines to win easy things a lot and skill machines to win more expensive things that require more plays, like John Taffer says "perceived value" give them 25cent worth of toy for 1$ and they will be happy, they had fun, which didnt happen today thats why its empty.

I think it's safe to say it's good you guys aren't going back to that arcade. still looked like a fun place to try but never visit again. and some of those prizes looked interesting too maybe that's where they draw you in.

That arcades a rip off or scam in other words those are machines that they have put the payout way above what the value of the Prize would be so you be best to let your fans know its location this way they never visit it and be taken advantage of.

An interesting discovery you can find lots of hidden gems in Japan . How aware about the machines setting if it' s not a skilled base you must likely not win many prizes since claw machines are all skilled based in Japan. Also check how many people are playing you can tell if it's a great arcade center or not . Lots of love and blessings.

That's exactly what happened in December when I played at a small GIGO just out of ikebukuro station 😭 spent about 3000 ¥ trying to win just a small prize but nothing would GET! 💔
