I have eaten pan fish with the skin on all my life, and my wife was never really into them. Then, I watched you cleaning fish and taking off the skin. So, I started taking the skin off the pan fish. A lot of people don't realize the most simple things in life are at the top of my list. And it's good to see Cole and Jay having fun catching fish and it's also a great stress relief rather your out in a boat fishing or sitting under a giant hickory nut tree squirrel hunting it's peaceful and it doesn't cost am arm and a leg to have some fun especially with all the turmoil that's going on in OUR WORLD nowadays. I really enjoy watching your videos it's pure and simple fun and we need a lot more of especially now while your young and there's nothing any better than making good memories. About 3 years ago, my son in law and grandson got into a small pond and caught 43 blue gill the size of the first one cole caught here. The son in law filleted them all, my wife would not eat blue hill before that but chowed down on them. She has never been a big fish eater but these changed her mind. The grilled ones look deliceous. Great job as usual guy's. Thanks again.

That did it folks. I am getting fish for dinner. The sad part (store kind). I love fish! Fresh caught Pan fish are the BEST! I love them Bone in. I have made comments a long while back about you cleaning them. You fillet them. That upset me. Bone in is the only way to go to enjoy these the best. Some of the best childhood memories I have is fishing for bream with my mom, dad and little sister!! Picture it… 15’ Jon boat, dad in the back, me and my sister in the middle and mom sunbathing in a folding sun lounger up front. All of a sudden dad puts us on one of the largest bed of bream we’ve ever seen. It was so active you could even smell it!! Dad’s baiting everyone’s hook as fast as he can with crickets and we’re pulling them in faster than he can keep up!! It was SO good, mom put her sunbathing on hold to get in on the action!!! She rolls over on her stomach and takes just the line and can see the fish in the clear water and starts to just bump the fish on the lips until they give in and bite!! We caught over 30 big bream that day and we still talk about it and mom’s technique to this day!! She earned the self-title of Queen Fish Slayer on that trip!! Thanks for bringing back such a GREAT memory!!

My Dad used to refer to redear sunfish in that lake as “Improved Bream”. Have you guys heard that before? He also liked using Cork floats that were natural color. He felt they sort of resemble the natural Cypress balls floating on top of the lake and were not a distraction like colored floats.

Tip: If you put a piece of rubber worm ( natural color ) on the top portion of your hook and a piece of real worm on the bottom of your hook, you can conserve your worm supply! ( I currently have a freezer full of sun fish; if that means anything. )
