I think one thing that the seed hunting/historical world search communities should do is make a giant museum with dioramas and displays that warp you to visual and audible explanations of the history and search process of certain worlds. Imagine a hall of paintings that you can jump into like it’s Super Mario 64 to get a guided and narrated tour of the explanation of the world’s tallest cactus seed, visually explaining how chunks generate and place cactuses and how certain types of seeds and chunks can result in cactuses overlapping. Instead of just explaining it with an algorithm or a video, it’s a fully 3D scene you can move around it while it visually moves block displays around to show you how the game does it. I even suggested the idea in the Minecraft At Home group, but it only got a mild amount of interest before dying out. It could be an amazing project, and one that can even be added to every few months or so, and would forever preserve the history of the game and how it’s grown over time.

3:20 That Japanese is completely jumbled. 一人以外 would probably be better. 以外前ひとつ doesn't even imply a human, I have literally never seen 前 used like that before in my life, and 以外 (the word for except in Japanese) almost always comes after what whatever is being excepted. Really enjoyed the video otherwise, and am glad to see yet another piece of Minecraft's history preserved.

@R2Bl3ndАй бұрын
@@narnianninja4964some people have read a lot more words than they've actually heard. And it's actually really common to hear non-native speakers make a ton of mistakes like this because not only have they never heard the words before, but they don't have a good sense of the rules for how words should be pronounced, so they assume a lot more wrong pronunciations. A big part of their "accent" is just their accumulation of mistaken pronunciation assumptions. I notice that with some foreign speakers, the only way you can tell that they're foreign is not from their accent, but because of how many words they pronounce wrong. They could pronounce them almost perfectly if they knew the correct pronunciation but because they don't, it instantly reveals that they're probably not a native speaker. Obviously in this case if the creator from the United States then it's just a case of reading a lot more than hearing words, and yeah probably being young.

Let this serve as a reminder, as motivation. If you’re searching for something but just can’t seem to find it, don’t give up. Never give up. I guarantee you, if you keep looking and looking, eventually, you’ll find what you’re looking for. Ask for help from other people, there is a huge, and I mean HUGE community surrounding lost media, and generally just helping people find things. Even if all hope seems lost, if you’re completely in the dark, there will be a light. It may seem distant at first, but you need to follow that light. It’ll most likely take some time to reach, and sometimes it may seem like it’s not getting any closer, but if you stay persistent, and keep heading towards that light, it will pay off. Never give up!

It's funny you calling them "researchers". I played Minecraft back in the old old days and I joined the omniarchive discord some years ago just because I thought maybe I'd find some people who shared similar experiences. Instead, I was treated like I'm either some sort of a specimen/artifact or a troll. I left pretty quickly because no semblance of humanity was displayed by any of the "researchers", whose hobby seems to be mostly just tracking down and harassing individuals while treating them more like a hard drive than a person, hoping to get their name on something that's ultimately completely inconsequential to the history of the game
@mcbyt22 күн бұрын
I understand how you feel. I've got great respect and appreciation for Omniarchive, but I've certainly had issues with some members there. There have been some there that treat old players like nothing more than a tool, a means to an end, a way to get those old files they want so much, often just for the recognition. But you should also know, those are a zealous few. The vast majority of people in the Omniarchive community are ones that are genuinely interested in the history of the game and hearing the experiences of early players, and people like Zunaka have generally gone about their research, and contacting early players, in as respectful a manner as possible. I'm very sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience, though, and you're not the only one I've seen with a poor experience like that.
