*Go back! Get more, they're delicious. Looking at Dalat for our next Vietnam trip in 2024. If you guys haven't been to Da Nang that's a must see city. Loads of things to see & do. They boast the longest Cable car ride I think it was 5 miles. Ends at the top of Ba Na Hills which if that's the only place you visit in Da Nang it's a must see. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Actually I just revisited our video because my wife said we were on number 37 same as you guys but turns out it was **1:37** and it's only 6 km but they still say the longest one, not sure in the world or just Vietnam I forget.*

Definitely, please come back more as soon as your 30 day stay is over, leave the country, and then come back. I really think Vietnam is for you. They have so much to offer. Aw, thank you so much! We’re happy you enjoyed it. As far as getting around, we almost always walk everywhere we can. But when things were too far, we’d use Grab. 😊 It’s immensely popular in SE Asia, so you’ll definitely want to download it if you’re traveling here.

You guys did something I hadn't seen before...the cable car in Da Lat. I didn't even know it was there as no other Western vlogger mentioned it. If you had stayed longer, you could have done the canyoning, Elephant Falls, the olden-day style train that takes you to the coolest looking temple ("Shot in the Dark Travel" went there and said it was the best they've seen in SE Asia), the Maze Bar, etc. There's a TON of stuff to do there.

Did you have a chance to visit Phong Nha in Quang Binh? That's the place where you do all these fun activities including caving? The best cable cars in Vietnam are in Bana hills and Sapa.

I think the longest cable car is in Phu Quoc, though. I think there's also one in Nha Trang at the amusement park there.

Da Lat used to be a place for the French government official to stay during the French colonization of Vietnam. Many pine trees were planted by the French that what made Da Lat so unique compared to the rest of the cities in Vietnam. Da Lats' weather is quite cold in the winter just like the weather in Europe. Da Lat gave me a sense of European/western feels each time I visited.

Ohhh nooo, in Dalat the weather is cold and nice all year around but please come to the North from October to March (winter season) you will see how cold is, sometime cooler than you expect, less than 10 degree. Please come and feel, welcome back👏❤️

Watching series from beginning to end… Eating avacado ice cream in HCM - then visit DaNang which is famous for its Avacado Ice Cream… Then eating Bun Bo Hue in Da Lat - then travel to Hue - where the food was originated… Next time HCM - Need to try Com Tam (broken rice), banh mi Opla/banh mi chao/bo ne, And Hu Tieu - When in Da Lat - I recommend specialy food, banh can (can cake) and banh mi xiu mai (baguette with meatball soup)…

Haha, yea, we did get a little bit ahead of ourselves with some of the food items! We'll likely take a food tour next time to not miss any of the popular items. We did end up trying banh can I believe in Hanoi. So delicious. That baguette with meatball sounds soooooo tasty! Just what I'd need to keep warm on a cool day in Da Lat. This one was great, guys! A nice mix of food, adventure and city exploration. Our fave! 😜 One of the best things about Vietnamese food is that DIY aspect. Fresh herbs, grilled meats and the savory dipping element. Seriously the best. Those pigs with custard are actually a pretty traditional dim sum! We had them in Hong Kong when we were there. So good. 🤤

Nice video! Small Chinese tip: bao means bun in Chinese. So you can actually just call it bun.

Dalat is very cool in winter and has mild summer, very ideal for people that are not used to the hot & humid of tropical country. I myself is a Saigonese and i also really love Dalat, personally it is also my favorite city solely because of the weather.

Amazing vlog guys! We totally missed all of this in Da Lat! 😂 it did rain 100% of the time when we were there! Also, the whole rollercoaster ride we were laughing along with you Ashley! 😂 Ooh and 1 question… what mic do you use?!? There was not 1 bit of wind noise on the whole rollercoaster!!! 😅

Aw, thanks guys! 🥰🙏 Getting somewhere and having it rain can definitely put a damper on your time. But it’s also just something you deal with. ☺️ I bet rainy days in Da Lat are a vibe all of their own. The mic we had on the rollercoaster was actually the built in one on the Sony ZV1F, which we’ve since traded for another action camera as we weren’t super thrilled with it overall, but the mic and wind screen were actually quite good!

@@mikeandashley it definitely was a vibe, we loved it and it’s still one of our favourite places in Vietnam… just for different reasons! And that’s crazy, I’m super shocked by the audio quality! So what do you shoot everything on? I’m curious, we use the Sony A7iv for everything apart from hitchhiking when we use our GoPro Hero 11 but we have been super tempted by the smaller Sonys that are made for vlogging… would love to hear your thoughts and setup! ✨

Most places have cutlery as well as chopsticks. Except for maybe some street food stalls. We weren’t good at them either! You get better when you have to use them often.

I love that restaurant An...very cool and unique. Love the ambiance they created there. Definitely try bun bo Hue in Hue since that's where it originated ("Chase and Shelbs" ate at a neat restaurant in Hue if you want to check it out). Nem nuoung is probably best in Nha Trang or Hoi An, but should be good other places in the country. Check out the video from "TheDailyPackers" as they did a ton of stuff in Hue and if you're into war history, do the tour like CularTravels did.

Oh, that’s a difficult question to answer! 😅 Honestly, we’re split; I (Ashley) prefer Thailand for the overall convenience, but Mike likes Vietnam slightly more. If you want spicy food, Thailand wins. The flavors are so bold and unique, but Vietnamese food is delicious in its simplicity. Plus, there are always condiments on the table, so you can customize your dish however you like. The scenery is beautiful in both countries. Thai beaches are unlike any we’ve seen elsewhere, but Northern Vietnam’s mountains are breathtaking. The people are so welcoming in either place. Not sure which is better for families, but we imagine each would be well-suited depending on your preferences. They are amazing and unique countries in their own ways. If you have the chance, we recommend visiting both. 🥰
