We Found Ourselves A Really Cheap Safari | Yala National Park, Sri Lanka

Today we went on a safari at Yala National Park in Sri Lanka with the hopes of being able to see a leopard. We did a full day tour (morning and afternoon session) and we ended up having the whole car to ourselves!

If you come to Yala, go in a particular weather; if it is too much rain, the animals won't come out. And be careful with pricing. Edit: I don't think eating at a place like that alone in the middle of the jungle is safe. When my family and I went on safari, we booked a package (Breakfast included, and we could get lunch after we returned to the hotel) with the hotel that we stayed. There were other safari vehicles with us as well. There is a spot in Yala near a lake (I don't remember the name of it), and all the safari vehicles will stop there to take a rest and have food so the animals will not approach (there were a lot of elephants on that day and they passing the vehicles so closely and it's kinda scary). They also instructed us not to get out of the car under any circumstances. Don't feed the animals as well 😅

Safari Jeep drivers are notorious for overcharging. Ask around 3-4 or may be even 5 jeep drivers before agreeing on a price.

@@claireandpeter You will find cheaper prices in less torusity safari parks like Wasgamuwa, Kumana, and Wilpattu.

How much more a day would I need to budget if I want age 68 US female level cleanliness room and travel rates? Food budget seems fine.Clean bathrooms, private clean sheets and beds? You know.

@@claireandpeter it's like rice puff I think. It's like a very thin and hard raw tarco sheet (that's the best explanation I can give, sorry 😂). And you need to fry it in hot oil for few seconds till it become golden and well 😅😅, like you had We love to eat it with our meal (which is rice and curries) bc, it will add very crunchy texture to each and every bite It pronounes as "Pap_pa_dam"
