There is an underground tunnel that leads up to one of the front houses. From the cave is an entrance to the house where they say was the distribution point

I’ve heard about this! We were looking for it and saw a possible tunnel that could lead that far back into the cliff. But the stagnant water inside the cave and rising tides outside made us cut the exploring short. 😅

The cave just outside smugglers used to lead to the pink house. During prohibition the cases of booze were held there before being shipped out
@Voyagerhq5 ай бұрын
Totally possible. We were looking for the tunnel and saw a possible route but it was submerged in stagnant water. The tide was rising so we were cut short on time.

@@Voyagerhq yeah, that cave smells like rotting flesh. Probably not a wise decision to wade through that toxic avenger water.

I’m sort of surprised you didn’t make the connection between Spaulding’s attraction and the long-purported rum-runners cave. Rum-runner’s cave was actually part of Spaulding’s cliff attraction. Off-loading contraband as depicted in those AI illustrations would’ve been impossible since the breakers at high tide would’ve made navigation into those cove inlets impossible for boats of any size. Besides, those caves were carved out in 1915. Five years before women won the right to vote and vote in prohibition.

Interesting. The Spalding remains are 200-300 yards north of the cave.
