You're much brighter than that cop, Nugget. He evidently didn't want to deal with the situation, or bother with the paperwork. Frankly, the disinterest or lack of intelligence of that police officer, disgusts me. Good job NuggetNoggin! You did very well and even took the trouble to look into it. The cop, well, it would have only taken him a quick look on his vehicle's computer, and he could have seen that those cards WERE from a crime. SMH... 🙄

@@nuggetnoggin thank you for taking the time to look up the name on the card. I was a bit disheartened by the police officer’s decision to dismiss them in what looked to us to be only a couple moments time at best. I could tell that several of those were quite legit looking, and as soon as you showed us the blanks, I knew immediately that it was likely a fraud case. Believe it or not it is a huge problem all over the nation. When people use skimmers to steal actual credit card info for legitimate customer accounts they then use blanks like you showed us to duplicate the real account numbers onto cards with their name in order to have ID that matches the fraudulent card if asked (which sadly rarely happens). I hate to criticize those who aren’t in front of me to defend themselves, but that officer deserves it. What if the cards you have are for legitimate credit card accounts in the name of someone the guy hadn’t been prosecuted for yet? That is quite possible. In other words he may have been caught for some of the fraud he committed but perhaps not all of it? If it was me I’d go back to police and tell them what happened, and ask them to follow up on those accounts. What if someone out there was yet to see justice for crimes perpetrated on their real accounts? That’s my perspective, but thanks for checking the cards out to know the guy was charged with fraud in the first place. Great video, and Daisy is adorable. I’m sure you know that, but it’s worth saying again. Bless you both and thanks for letting us enjoy your magnet fishing adventures. 🙏🏻❤️😇

@@nuggetnoggin I wouldn't go as far as to say that cop wasn't as bright or disinterested. I just recently went through an investigation for a $70,000 fraud with the FBI, IC3, our local authorities, and the company I work for. Within days we had names, bank accounts, times, dates, emails, etc. sent to the IC3 and FBI. I was able to work one on one with a couple FBI guys. What is obvious now is that living in an electronic world means these guys are slippery and hard to catch. In my case, the crime was fresh and they ($@#!# BLEEP) got away. Seeing these cards were 5+ years old, the chances of being able to do much of anything with them useful was a pipe dream. I can only imagine police officers know this too well. Thankfully in your case, the dude was caught. But if 5 years had truly past and these crimes were not prosecuted, all the investigation this police force could possibly muster would almost surely end up in failure. It's more likely this guy knew how to pick battles. Love your videos! Thanks for the scriptures!

I worked at a convenience store some years ago and had a guy try to use a credit card with a lady's name on it. It didn't go through. So he pulled out one he said was his debit card but, he tried several different pin numbers and none of them worked. So, he left his stuff on the counter and said give him a couple of minutes and he stepped out to the trunk of his car and I pushed the Emergency button under our counter. He couldn't figure out which way to run when 7 squad cars converged on the parking lot. The cops found 2,000 credit card blanks and a machine for stamping numbers and names into the cards while searching his trunk. They told me that he had only been out of prison for 3 months and had spent 5 years in prison for stealing credit cards from the senior citizens in the apartment complex where he had been the maintenance man. I guess some of them never learn.

All those cards brought back flashbacks of a place I worked at a long time ago printing & embossing cards. We used to fling them at each other and have card fights. Brutal. Stuck them into the ceiling tiles, drywall. Always had to clean up before dayshift came in. Fun times.

Michael, have you ever heard about cutting down a broken antique bottle to make drinking glasses ?? They really turn a trash broken bottle into something beautiful and useful, its quite an easy thing to do, many people do it; dirty secrets of scotland, si finds, adventure archelogy, who has someone do it for him, and others. I was surprised that the glasses are so sturdy and beautiful. Just an idea. Love your videos, you're the best, and I love when you give history behind an object . I use to be a organized retail crime investigator and dealt with card fraud all the time, the secret service was good to work with, but local police that don’t know much about it we’re a little hard to work with. It’s funny how you can reprogram the strip on the back, it can be any card with a strip so it doesn’t even need to be a credit card. Nice video 👍

I'd bet the county prosecutor at they courthouse would love to use them as evidence against the suspect. I think that's who you should go talk to about it, the cop didn't want to do the paperwork or perhaps knew the person or something didn't seem right!

I would take those cards to the courthouse with the case number and ask to speak to the prosecuting attorney of that case. It might be extra evidence that could tack on more time to that person. Obviously the blank ones are exactly like you said, they're stealing people's info (identity theft) and printing credit cards to use. Why are you throwing those chairs in the dumpster? You can clean them up & sell them on marketplace or take them to the scrap yard.
