@@nuggetnoggin Here's another treasure story for you that I heard from an old farmer : this guy was doing fence maintenance on his farm ...replacing rotten fence posts to be exact. So, he's going along digging out the old posts and to his surprise at one spot , he digs up a mason jar full of silver dollars ! So there's a treasure tip : Scan along old fence rows ..some old timer might have hidden a fruit jar so many fence posts back from the house or barn or better yet at a corner . Seems like a perfect way to remember where the money was hidden.

Hello Mr Nugget, I believe you might benefit from a small, but powerful, LED torch. Those dark nooks and crannies may be hiding good finds or nasty surprises. I envy your access to those old and abandoned properties. I'm in the UK and a retired detectorist and really appreciate your energy and enthusiasm for searching out what our elders and ancestors left behind.

Also going to add to places to concentrate when searching. When people buried their Mason jars full of money, they placed them in an area that was easily and frequently seen for security. Daffodil beds planted around homesteads were usually placed where "Mama" could see them from the kitchen sink while washing dishes or spending time in the kitchen. Back then the lady of the house spent a huge amount of time in the kitchen and could detect any disturbance in her flower beds. I want a percentage! LOL!!!
