I won’t lie this was probably one of my top 5 restaurants, not necessarily just for the food (which was great) but location, vibe and staff and value. Next time in Paris, I don’t care where I’m staying I’ll come here at least once. Tell me your favourites

Sorry to hear some of the waiters were standoffish. Did you remember to say Bonjour with your first interaction? If you didn’t that may explain as the French view it as major disrespect, if you don’t say that first. It’s not like the UK. Every interaction must start with Bonjour.

I had an excellent time in Paris and used my basic French where I could, most places were fine it was just one place just off the Eiffel Tower area, couldn’t be more welcoming in their attempts to get you in, once in it was a different story, constant attempts to upsell and totally indifferent to your needs - it happens the world over, thank heavens for the gem we found though
