If he were 5 years older than he claimed, it would explain literally everything about his entire career. Why he was so good at "14" playing against 16 year olds, why he didn't improve after he was "18", and why he was already declining when he was "23". It even explains why his mother refused Inter Milan when he was "11" (top European clubs have a lot of experience with age fraud and probably would quickly discover he wasn't really 11. MLS clubs lacked that experience and could more easily be fooled). It is the only reasonable explanation I ever heard for an otherwise inexplicable career.

@@Memnarch He never became better though, that's what "at his peak" means. If he really were that good at 14, he never would have been that unremarkable at 24. He obviously was several years older than 14. And for a 19-year old playing against 16-year olds, he wasn't actually that special.

I really doubt his age. I can't be convinced at all. Adu lied about his age and that's a fact. He was born in Africa and spent couple of years in Africa before moving to USA and that suggested that his birth certificate must have been doctored. Emmanuel Amunike claimed to be 20 years in 1996, but he looks 55 now

birth certificates are bad: in that, not that it's a helpful marker for age, but that it's used to say you have no choice in your national identity. "all people are created equal" means "all people are created equal." when you start saying that "you are this national according to birth and you are that national according to birth" ... then you are not talking about natural born citizens! countries don't make citizens. that's what tyrants try to do. that's what birth certificates are for. it's actually the other way around. citizens make countries. that's what we naturally do. those are our natural rights and they are laid out in the declaration of independence. you CHOOSE which nation you represent, create, alter, or abolish. it is not possible to be a natural born citizen "of a nation," because nations do not, naturally, have the capacity to give birth. you are a natural born citizen and you CHOOSE a national identity. that's what makes you a "citizen" of a nation. if you are not choosing, then you are either enslaved or ruled by a tyrant. please stop using birth certificates in your daily life and stop promoting the idea of birth certificates. nationality is not tied to a bloodline or lines in the sand.

Biological age has nothing to do with your politics, if he was 6 to 10 years older that he claimed to be, he can't get younger by faking his birth certificate, when he has 20 something he already wasn't able to finish a game or a practice, a fake certificate that say you are 25 don't make you have the vitality of 25 when you are 35...
