I only knew because I saw where John took off from, watching with his binoculars ftom the hotel patio.... The only thing about this wave that's not deep is the bottom

I think these waves in Indonesia are way better to surf than Koa's favorite break (Telipoo) its practically a never-ending wave with perfect faces to do anything your heart desires .get barreled (sometimes multiple times on a single wave) tricks. catching air .on days like this you can have 45 sec plus rides .tell me how it gets any better to that ? Its safe no coral reefs 3 ft under the surface .take off drop in and carve up those endless faces for wat must seem like a mile .hone your skills the sky's the limits .i get Telipoo is a monster wave with a barrel that swallows a surfer up but 10 seconds and your done .and having to deal with getting killed on the reef just inches under the surface if you wipe wipe-out or go over the falls .sometimes even getting sucked up out of nowhere while in the barrel waiting to get out with the spit .a big wave rush without a doubt so i get it but stil a 10 sec ride tops with nothing to really do but get barreled and usually your out in front of the barrel most instances not way back deep like Pipe .you get deep in that barrel and 9 times out of 10 that wave will suck you up and take you to the top of the curled lip then pummeling you down on the reef .so IMO Indonesia 🇮🇩 is better and a much funner place to surf .again how to you beat a ride that feels like miles long
