June in maine was tuff i agree it was over by June i was working public land and only had 1 day of gobbling birds on public rest were on private i walked up on a gobbler standing in a swamp could not see beard so let em walk off hot temps mosquitoes ticks and gnats still was a beautiful state from the mtns to ocean
