I just returned from Lijiang. I recommend you go to Dragon Girl Lake. After you reach the entrance of the scenic area, walk in (make sure to walk in and go to the right). There are not many people there, at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, beautiful to the point of taking one's breath away

What a fantastic experience, I could walk those streets for hours and hours. I hope I can visit it one day. How great is a city prepared to help Julia, with her severe "pee problem" ha ha. It will help me too, I drink a lot of mate during the day!! What was that thing they offered you to try, cheese? I'm intrigued. Each video and each city increases my desire to travel around that country. Greetings from Buenos Aires

Your videos are so real! The ancient town of Lijiang is full of art, with many handicraft workshops and exquisite cabins, which is amazing! The ancient buildings are well preserved, people respect history, protect culture, and there are very unique ethnic minorities!Did you know? China has 56 ethnic groups, including Muslims and whites.

The China Series has been spectcular . To go to regions of China that rarely gets a look see is so very special. You guys ar doing a gret job. This region is bucket list for us. One question for you ? Were you able to fly your drone there. To see no vehicles in the Lijiang Markets is so nice. Again, you guys are killing it. Sending much love and affection❤❤ from Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, VA.

On the topic of tones, I've watched a video from Thai's got talent on KZbin. I knew nothing about the language, but the content was so interesting (with subs ofc), so I watched it many times, and I also mimicked how they say a couple of words. And for some reason, I started to pick up their tones without even intentionally trying to (and I don't even know how their tone markers goes on paper). So another time I was curious about that language and try to hear some words in some random lesson, I find that tones from these simple vocabularies are not that hard when trying to mimick it, because it's clear to my ear already from previous exposure. (Although vocabulary retention is another rabbit hole, but mimicking it is not difficult).

What an interesting town, combination of modern and traditional. The drone shots with all the lights was beautiful. I don't know if you noticed but at the 15:06 mark you got photobombed by a cute young man. It gave me a chuckle. Thank you for all the work you do to put these videos together, I love seeing where you go and China is especially beautiful. I'm still waiting for you to go to Petra. 🙏🏼😌 I don't know if you're allowed to but I want to see inside not just the outside which is all I've seen in pictures. I'm fascinated with the fact that they built that "city" back when there were no real tools. It amazing.

During peak season, Lijiang ancient town is inundated with over 100,000 tourists, resulting in overcrowded main streets that leave little room to breathe, making for a claustrophobic and unpleasant experience.

Growing up i heard the word cha a lot instead of tea, my mum and my nan would ask if we wanted a cup of cha all the time. Or maybe it was char as i never saw it written down but just verbal and i was raised in Birmingham UK.

If only, if only the whole world could be friends. I've an idea! Let the women lead! Let women run the whole world. Less conflicts, less wars, more thoughtful discourse. Being a retired male R.N. I've experience with such a system. Back to your difficult slog through Lijiang, it appears to be a tourist destination within China for other Chinese? All those neat stalls!

Cross my heart, both of you and almost every travellers to China are very accommodating to the bad habits of Chinese, or the quotidian antipathy behaviour. I hope both of you won't feel upset for the mishap encountered, such as bad weather, not accustomed to local food, etc. Enjoy your peregrinations.😉

There are habits in all countries that are different to ours but that’s what makes travel incredible! Overall people have been incredibly kind! 😍 Thank you very much!! ❤️
Only China has preserved its history and culture the best among the four ancient civilizations, which is enough to prove how great China is. Moreover, each of their cities has its own characteristics, culture, and cuisine, which is truly shocking.

any place in china with a high speed rail stop is going to be built up and if famous, very touristy 🤣 there are numerous similar ancient towns only accessible by car if you really want to see it less crowded and without all the touristy shops. the compromise is there's a lot less convenience. something for everyone lol

The reason I'm saying this is that approximately 99% of the viewers of your China travel videos are of Chinese origin. Visiting the popular tourist spots in China can be overwhelming due to the high costs of tickets and transportation, not to mention the crowds, so consider exploring the lesser-known destinations for a more enjoyable and authentic experience. Lijiang Ancient Town was 1000x more beautiful in the 1980s and 1990s, before commercialization totally destroyed it, much like what happened to Dali. Really disgusting.

Skip making videos about Dali and Lijiang-they're already well-known tourist hotspots. As vloggers seeking unique content, explore Yunnan's less-traveled destinations for a truly authentic experience and avoid the overcrowded tourist traps.

The automatically generated English language on your video cannot appear in Chinese characters when selecting Auto Translate into Chinese. You may be using the wrong method or software when editing the video. It's a pity that many chinese missed this video because most Chinese people don't understand English. 😅
