Heres some fun facts for Dylan. 1) Foul Play is affected by your mon being burned. It simply gives you the opponents attack stat and replaces your own. But then it's damage done is halfed by burn 2) Body Press is also affected by burn. This is a common misconception about how burn works. Burn does NOT reduce your attack. What it does is reduce damage from physical moves. While Body Press uses defense instead of attack stat it is STILL affected by burn, because it is still a physical move. 3) The sleep status from rest is not the same as regular sleep. It will ALWAYS sleep for 2 turns. It is not random like regular sleep status. So dylan hoping that it would not wake up was pointless since it ALWAYS wakes up that turn.

49:06 Burn does affect the damage of Body Press. The way burn works, as of Gen 3 anyway, is that it halves the _damage dealt_ by physical moves. So even if a physical move uses something other than your own Attack stat for calculating the damage (like Body Press using your own Defense, or Foul Play using your opponent's Attack), the damage you do will still be halved.

Fluffy doesn't increase your defense, it just reduces the damage you take from CONTACT moves (Emphasis on contact and not Physical Moves) So Fluffy wouldn't affect Body Press

Fluffy does decrease the damage enemy body press does, since it makes contact, but doesn't affect your own body press damage, but the reason isn't what you think. Body press *doesn't* get affected by FUR COAT either, which in actuality doubles your defense in combat. And the reason here is that in the calculation Body Press only uses Base Defense *and* stage modifiers instead of the Base Attack and stage modifiers. This means that if you had a pokemon with HUGE POWER using a Body Press, it would double the pokemon's defense for Body Press calculation. With the distinction above it also should be very obvious why Burn affects body press damage.

Burn effects both Foul Play and Body Press damage. Status and abilities effect both those moves 'normally'. This means Huge Power Body Press deals double damage when compared to non-HP, burn, Muscle Band etc. The stat and stat stages matter but otherwise it is coded as a physical damage move.

Probably too late to correct it, but the Gardevoir and Charizard Fusion at 10:53 has an information issue. The stat block carried over from Joltking, the Jolteon/Nidoking fusion. You describe it the way that it operated in the battle, but we're shown Joltking's moves, item, name, stats, and ability.

The reason that body press and foul play were affected by burn is because at some point burn was changed to not change the attack stat, but to actually half the base power of moves for the user. That means that body press is effectively a 40 bp move using the defense stat, and foul play is halved using the opponents attack ❤
