This is a male tarantula, some sort of aphonopelma genus species and its looking for a female to mate with, he likely won't eat as its not his main goal to grow anymore and personally I would set him free so he can find a female because he won't live much longer as an adult male.

Is very easy to take care of tarantula for that size just need a water dish that is drinkable, substrate a quarter of the enclosure (the enclosure need to be 3x the size of the tarantula abd lastly the temperature need to be atleast 20 degree
