Kind of weird to have had a serious realization about this movie while watching you guys but I just figured out that the whole point of the act of true love thing was that it's Elsa's heart that needed to be thawed not Anna's and the movie was just distracting you away from that the entire time
@Montesama3142 жыл бұрын
Yes, thank you, the story was just as much Elsa's arc as it was Anna's. A lot of people like Let it Go (it's a bop), but character-wise that's practically her lowest point, where she's in solitude and delusion about her godhood.
@manband202 жыл бұрын
@@Montesama314 Adding to this, Elsa was supposed to be the villain in the original drafts of the movie as well as in the story it was based off of, "The Ice Queen" by Hans Christian Anderson. After they wrote "Let It Go" and realized it would be a major hit, they also realized there was no way they could possibly make Elsa be the bad guy or even a sort of pseudo-antagonist because the song was too inspiring and catchy. While I don't mind having a scared and confused Elsa who does bad things by accident and has to keep running away and making things worse, having her be a straight up villain who just wants to be left alone would have been so good. Just make her be The Beast from Beauty and the Beast, but with ice powers.
